For any foreign trip, you must have a valid passport. Its design is not an easy task, requiring a lot of endurance and free time from a person. One of the necessary steps in this procedure is the payment of the state duty.

How to pay the duty for a passport

It is necessary

  • -receipt for payment of state duty;
  • -a pen;
  • -money.

Instructions

Step 1

Get the details for paying the state duty. This can be done at Sberbank or the local branch of the Federal Migration Service. If you do not have time to visit these authorities, print a receipt for payment from the Internet. When downloading the receipt, pay special attention to the area of your residence, because details for the constituent entities of the Russian Federation differ. You can find them on the websites of the FMS (Federal Migration Service) of your region.

On the site https://biodocs.narod.ru/RussiaDepts.htm you can find links to many FMS offices in Russia.

Step 2

Fill out the receipt, indicate the purpose of the payment and its amount. Depending on whether you are making a regular or biometric passport, filling in the "purpose of payment" column will be different. In the case of an old-style passport, this part of the receipt contains "state duty for drawing up a foreign passport" (or "state duty for drawing up a foreign passport for a child"). If you decide to make a biometric passport, then you should write “state duty for registration of a foreign passport containing an electronic data carrier”.

Since 2010, the state duty has increased and is:

- old-style passport for an adult (valid for 5 years) -1000 rubles;

- old-style passport for a child (up to 14 years old) - 300 rubles;

-biometric passport for an adult (valid for 10 years) - 2500 rubles;

-biometric passport for a child -1200 rubles.

Do not forget to put down the payer, the date of payment and sign on the receipt.

Step 3

Pay the receipt at a branch of any bank. A check issued by the operator or a stamp on your receipt will be a confirmation of the payment of the state duty for a passport. It should be noted that the bank should not take a commission for this operation, i.e. you must pay exactly the amount of the fee.

Step 4

Attach the receipt to the set of documents for applying for a passport.
