The sparkling Soviet comedy "The Diamond Arm" was released on the screens of the country in 1968. The film directed by Leonid Gaidai immediately won popular love thanks to the talented acting of the actors, the vivid images they created and witty dialogues. Almost every line has left the cinema screens in the everyday life of the Soviet people; and many years later, catch phrases from the comedy about hapless smugglers have not lost their popularity.
Hero of our time
The role of the awkward, naive, but at heart of the courageous and resourceful Semyon Gorbunkov was written especially for Yuri Nikulin. "The song about hares" in his performance has become one of his favorite drinking songs, and the catch phrase "I'm not a coward, but I'm afraid!" in everyday life, she even lost touch with the film.
The famous explanation for the fracture: “Slipped, fell. I woke up - plaster cast! became a hit, as did the phrase about the dressing gown “You don’t have the same one, but with mother-of-pearl buttons?”, after which the fatal beauty Anna lures Semyon into a hotel room.
The role of Svetlana Svetlichnaya is rather episodic, but it turned out to be so bright that a flirtatious exclamation: "I'm not guilty, he came himself!" glorified her forever.
Only without hands, Lyolik
The images of unlucky smugglers - the refined Gesha Kozodoev and the gloomy Lelik - turned out to be surprisingly lively and funny. Andrei Mironov's star shone in full force precisely after the role of Gesha, so it is fair that the crown phrases belong to him. A radiant smile does not leave Mironov's face when "With a slight movement of the hand, trousers turn … trousers turn …", and abroad Gesha feels himself in his element: "Russo is tourist, looks like morality!", "Ailulyu - then!".
During the filming in the middle of the lake, Andrei Mironov shouted so heart-rendingly: “Save me! Help! Mommy-ah!”That real rescuers came to his screams.
Papanov's brutal mordovorot contrasts well with the elegant swindler Mironov, so the whole dialogues of these heroes have gone to the people. “I have to take a bath, have a cup of coffee …” - says Gesha, to which Lelik replies: “You will have a bath there, you will have coffee, there will be cacava with tea!”.
Famous phrases of Anatoly Papanov:
• "No, I can't accept that!"
• "Baba - flowers, children - ice cream!"
• "Even teetotalers and ulcers drink at someone else's expense!"
• "So that you live on one salary!"
Even the climactic fight at the car wash is famous first of all for the phrase: "And your mustache is unstuck!", With which Semyon exposes Lelika. "Thank you!" - Lelik says calmly and, spitting on his mustache, glues it back.
Of the minor characters, the manager of Ivy, played by Nonna Mordyukova, distinguished herself. After the release of the film, critics reacted coolly to her performance, but today the formidable lady embodies a powerful image of Soviet hypocrisy. "Our people don't take a taxi to the bakery!" she says condemningly.
Semyon's wife Nadezhda (actress Nina Grebeshkova) is shown as a positive Soviet woman - strong in spirit, but sweet and touching. "I know everything! You have not a closed, but an open fracture there!"
