At times, retirees face difficulties in order to obtain the title of labor veteran. Contradictions arise from many nuances. On the one hand, the procedure for issuing documents is regulated by the Law of the Federal level, and on the other hand, the issuance of a "Labor Veteran" certificate is also possible on the basis of the Laws of regional significance.

Instructions
Step 1
The title "Veteran of Labor" was approved back in the days of the USSR by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet. The medal itself is not associated with a certificate, it was awarded for many years of conscientious work in industry, agriculture, and was awarded to scientists. The Federal Law "On Veterans" was adopted later - in 1995. An honorary certificate was awarded to persons who were awarded orders or medals, awarded honorary titles, and it is also due to citizens who have departmental insignia.
Step 2
To get a certificate "Veteran of Labor of the Russian Federation" awards alone are not enough. Consider the work experience, which must be at least 25 years for men who have reached 60 years old, and for women who have reached 55 years old - at least 20 years. The list of departmental awards, certificates and diplomas allowing to apply for a veteran's certificate is approved by the Ministry of Labor, but each constituent entity of the Russian Federation has the right to make its own adjustments.
Step 3
Please note that in order to obtain a "Labor Veteran of the Russian Federation" certificate, you must submit documents to the appropriate organization at your place of residence. Keep in mind that the procedure for assigning this certificate is different from the procedure for the certificate "Veteran of Labor" of regional significance.
Step 4
For registration of the certificate "Veteran of Labor of the Russian Federation" prepare a passport and a copy of the first and second sheets of it, originals and copies of certificates of the award. Attach the original and a copy of the pension certificate, work book. Keep in mind that for working citizens a copy of the work book must be certified by the seal of the enterprise and the signature of the manager with the date of issue, and for non-working citizens you need the work book itself and a copy of it. Two 3x4 photos will also be required.
Step 5
The "Labor Veteran" certificate of any valid sample is a document that confirms the right to receive social support measures. These measures are regulated by Federal Law No. 122 "On Monetization of Benefits," after which the financing of benefits is entrusted to the regional authorities. Each constituent entity of the Russian Federation pays the prescribed subsidies based on its own budgets.
