"Kin-Dza-Dza!" - a two-part dystopia in the genre of tragicomedy. The film was directed by Georgy Danelia and was released in 1986. The picture has not lost its relevance, some plot twists can be considered prophetic.
Instructions
Step 1
Planet Plyuk, which brought the main characters, was filmed in Turkmenistan. The artists lived in the city of Nebit-Dag, and the scenery was in the Karakum desert. It took more than an hour to get to the filming location. The shooting took place in the middle of summer, it was very hard to work because of the heat. They started filming at 6 am and worked until noon, later the temperature rose above 60 ° C - it was physically impossible to be in such heat.
Step 2
The shooting was originally planned for the spring, when the heat in the Karakum Desert is not so bad. But the departure of the film crew to Turkmenistan was postponed due to the loss of a pepelatsa - a model of an interstellar ship created at Mosfilm specifically for filming. The device instead of Nebit-Dag ended up in Vladivostok through the fault of the railway workers. It took 1.5 months of time and the intervention of the KGB to get him back. However, the misadventures of the pepelats did not end there either. Already in the Karakum Desert, the production designer decided to smoke the unit with a torch for greater reliability. The paneling flashed instantly. The fire was extinguished, but the apparatus was restored the whole night.
Step 3
The sewing shop of Mosfilm was overloaded due to the filming of Bondarchuk's film Boris Godunov, so outfits for the heroes of Kin-dza-dza! were made by dressers and the entire film crew almost by hand. T-shirts, sweatshirts and underpants of the Zarya factory became the basis for the clothes of the aliens. They were discolored with bleach and burned with matches, giving them a worn look. Actors Stanislav Lyubshin and Levan Gabriadze (Foreman and Violinist) starred in things from the director's personal wardrobe. A flight suit was prepared for Yakovlev, which Danelia dyed with ink in the bath with his own hand. In addition, in Turkmenistan, Danelia walked through the garbage dumps, picked up various springs, ribbons, rings and bags. All of these details were used to decorate the aliens.
Step 4
The script of the film "Kin-dza-dza!" he corresponded several times, sometimes during filming. This was due to censorship requirements. At the beginning of filming, Danelia and screenwriter Rezo Gabriadze feared most of all that balloons would be cut out of the film, which symbolized the last exhalation of the inhabitants of Plyuk. According to the plot, the ball of Mr. PZh - a representative of local authorities - is many times greater than the balls of other residents. The authors feared that the censorship would see in these balls giant portraits of Brezhnev, which were hung in all the cities of the USSR. The problem disappeared by itself when Brezhnev passed away.
Step 5
In 1984, Konstantin Ustinovich Chernenko became the general secretary of the CPSU Central Committee. A new problem arose: his initials K. U. coincided with the word "KU". This is the main word on the planet Plyuk, which the authors invented specifically for the film "Kin-dza-dza!" To throw him out of the script would have had to completely rewrite the dialogues. While the authors were looking for a way out of the situation, Chernenko died.
