Instructions

Step 1

Migration cards, although they do not belong to strict reporting forms, are issued to carriers, border services and other interested agencies in a strictly defined number by representatives of the Russian migration service.

Step 2

The obligation to fill out the card lies with a foreign citizen, therefore, it is often possible to find cases when foreigners fill out the card form on the bus or in the cabin of the plane, and then the finished form is handed over to the border guards.

Step 3

The A5 format card blank consists of two parts: the entrance part and the exit part, but both must be filled in at the initial border crossing.

Step 4

The entrance part according to the international standard is marked with the letter “A” - arrival. In tabular form, you need to sequentially fill in the name of the country of entry (Russian Federation) and the country of exit in block letters of the Russian alphabet.

The details of the document - the series and number - will be supplied by the border guards, so foreigners do not need to fill out these sections.

Step 5

Next, you need to indicate the surname, name and, if available, patronymic of the entering citizen, passport data and gender. Moreover, Russian migration cards provide for only two genders, respectively, persons with a third (hen, who have already received passports) will have to choose something from the available one.

Step 6

The purpose of the visit is filled in on the basis of the information specified in the visa: commercial, tourist, private, etc. Citizens of countries with a visa-free regime of entry need to be guided by the real purpose of the trip.

Step 7

If a foreigner does not speak Russian and cannot fill out a document in Russian, he can use the Latin alphabet, and the card data must correspond to the data of the foreign passport of the foreigner (note that in all foreign passports, except for the language of the country of origin, there must be an alphabetic image of the transcription of the name, written in Latin).

Step 8

The lower columns of the migration card provide for the indication of the period of stay in the country and the signature of the foreign citizen.

Step 9

Side "B" is away, it completely duplicates the information of side "A". Typographic perforation (break line) between them. When passing through customs control, part "A" must be given to the control officer, while part "B" remains with the citizen, who will transfer it to the receiving party for subsequent migration registration.
