All young men aged 18-27 who did not do military service in the army and have deferrals, when moving to another region, city or abroad, must apply to the military registration and enlistment office at their place of residence in order to receive an extract. Some passport officers even refuse to deregister without a corresponding mark in the passport and certificate of registration, although this is not legal.
Instructions
Step 1
Submit an application to the military registration and enlistment office for deregistration if you are moving to a new place of residence or you need to change your place of stay for more than 90 days on personal or business matters. However, you will not be able to apply to the military registration and enlistment office with such a statement during the work of the draft board, unless you have a serious reason for such an appeal (for example, a serious illness of a relative whom you must take care of). Arriving at a new place of residence, you must, in this case, register for military service within 3 days.
Step 2
Contact the passport office, even if you do not yet have a mark in your passport and certificate of discharge from the military registration and enlistment office, and ask to be deregistered at your place of residence. An employee of the passport office has no right to refuse you. However, after moving, you will have to contact the military registration and enlistment office at the place of your new registration within 2 weeks to get registered. Do not worry: the staff of the military registration and enlistment office will make a request for your personal file in another city or region no later than 3 days after your request.
Step 3
If you are going to go abroad for permanent residence, then you must be deregistered at the military registration and enlistment office at your former place of residence. In addition, if you have not served in the army, in order to move to another country (sometimes in the case of a regular travel on a tour package), you will also need a certificate stating that you are not currently eligible for conscription.
Step 4
If you are a soldier, then register or deregister at your place of residence or place of stay. If you serve in the army under a contract, then deregistration and registration is carried out at the place of deployment of your unit.
Step 5
An application for deregistration is drawn up in the name of the head of the military registration and enlistment office or the unit commander (for military personnel). It should also include the address of your new registration.
