A Muslim who pronounces namaz must necessarily do it in the direction of the Kaaba, that is, face in the direction where this temple is located. What to do when you do not live in Mecca and do not know how to identify the Kaaba and, accordingly, read the prayer correctly.

Step 1
Determine the location of your country in relation to Mecca, where the Kaaba is located. So, for example, the believers in India, when performing namaz, should be turned to the west, in Dagestan - to the south, in Libya - to the East, and in Ethiopia - to the north.
Step 2
You can determine the location of your country by using a map, globe or compass. At the same time, when determining your location on the map, look where it is relative to the south, since that is where Mecca is located. In this case, you should know that the top of the map is always north, and the bottom is south.
Step 3
In addition to this method, if you do not have a map, compass or globe at hand, there are other methods for determining the Kaaba, which, perhaps, will be more acceptable in your case.
Step 4
Determine visually by the sun. So, in the summer at 2 pm, and in the winter at 1 o'clock, respectively, the sun is in the south of the country.
Step 5
Determine your direction with a mechanical watch. To do this, you need to put the watch in such a way that its dial is horizontal and direct the watch hand towards the sun. Consider the resulting angle between 2 in summer and 1 in winter and sunlight. Draw a mental bisector of the resulting angle, it will point directly to the south.
Step 6
Having determined your location relative to Mecca, turn your face each time during prayer to the Kaaba and read your appeal to Allah (prayer). In case you find that you were standing in the wrong direction while pronouncing the prayer, you should repeat the prayer again, standing up as required.
