Put your affairs, documents in order, settle all legal issues.
Step 4
Contact the abbess of the monastery and talk with her about your desire to come to the monastery. She will tell you what to take with you.
Step 5
When you arrive at the monastery, you will need to present your passport, certificate of marital status and write your autobiography, as well as an application for admission to the monastery in the name of the abbess. If everything is in order with the documents, you are an adult, unmarried / divorced, if you have no children or your children are well settled, you will be admitted to the monastery for a trial period. Most often, this period is three years. It can be shortened, depending on how well-behaved and morally stable you show yourself in the monastery.

After the expiration of the probationary period, the abbess will make a presentation about the tonsure to the ruling Bishop, and you will be able to accept the monastic rank.
