Step 1
Use a pair of clippers and a knife to remove overgrown weeds around the grave. Throw them in a trash bag. Remember to wear gloves.
Step 2
Moss and mold that grows between tiles is very difficult to remove by hand. Feel free to use specific drugs designed for this (eg Roundup).
Step 3
Moisten a soft brush with soapy water and clean all protrusions and depressions on the monument, all plastic flower arrangements. If the artificial flowers are too dirty, try soaking them in soapy water or throwing them away. Then wipe the entire monument with cloths soaked in clean water.
Step 4
If rusty spots appear on the marble or granite, then first you need to clean them with the rough side of the sponge. Then moisten a cloth with hydrogen peroxide and remove the stains.
Step 5
If flowers grow on the grave, then you need to take care of them often: watering, removing dried flowers and mulching - all this must be done at least 2 times a month.
Step 6
If the grave is fenced around the perimeter, it must be painted every spring.
Step 7
In order to renew the inscriptions carved on marble, you must first degrease them with a brush moistened with white spirit or acetone. Then wipe the lettering with a cloth dampened in water to remove acetone or white spirit. Then protect the marble with cardboard or paper, securing them with adhesive tape. Spray well-protected marble with a spray paint for smooth surfaces. After the paint starts to dry, wipe off excess paint with a dry cloth. Let dry. Then paint the inscription with a brush with a colorless varnish.
