Biography: early years

Khusein Sirazhdievich Haliev was born on August 3, 1988 in Grozny. He grew up in a typical Chechen family with many children. Hussein has four brothers. All of them, like him, subsequently found themselves in martial arts.

Hussein began to get involved in wrestling long before school. From the age of five, his parents enrolled him in the wushu section. Hussein very quickly began to make progress in this type of martial arts. A year later, he began to practice taekwondo.

In one interview, Hussein recalled that his older brother was an example for him then. He was seriously fond of sports and tried himself in various martial arts. Hussein tried to keep up with him in this regard.

During the second Chechen campaign, the Khaliev family was forced to leave Grozny, since the city was literally destroyed to the last stone. His parents roamed the country with their children. The family lived in different Russian cities. Hussein, like his brothers, did not abandon the sport. In every city where his family had to live, he found places to hone his fighting skills.

Hussein played for different regions of Russia in competitions. The peak of his participation in competitions came in the mid-90s, and this was the height of the Chechen war. He reluctantly remembers that time. In his words, it was difficult to perform at tournaments, since the judges were biased towards the guy from Chechnya.

Sports career

In 2007, Hussein became the champion in full contact hand-to-hand combat. A year later, he won the World Kickboxing Championship (Light Contact).

In 2009, Khaliev became the world champion in kick-jitsu. In the same season, as well as the next, he took the World Cup in this single combat.

In 2010, Hussein was able to become the first in the Russian pankration championship. He also won the championship in UKADO, campo, shoeboxing and grappling.

Khaliev entered the professional ring in October 2010. The debut fight took place in Chechnya. His rival then was Russian Amirkhan Mogushkov. In his debut match, Hussein won a landslide victory. On the same day, there were two more battles. And from them Khaliev came out the winner.

In the period from 2010 to 2012, Hussein confidently prevailed over his opponents. He knew the bitterness of defeat on September 30, 2012. On that day, he entered the ring with Yasubi Enomoto from Switzerland.

As of May 2019, Hussein has only one defeat. By fighting standards, he has a solid record: 19-1-0.

Personal life

Hussein does not cover his personal life. And this is not surprising, because it is not customary for Chechens to advertise their personal lives. According to rumors, Khaliev is married to a Chechen woman. There is no information on children.
