Biography
The homeland of Bilyal Makhov is the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, the city of Nalchik, where the athlete was born in 1987 on September 20. In a close-knit family, in addition to Bilyal, the younger brother and sister grew up. Parents tried to give their children a complete education, instilled sports skills, Bilyal, in addition to high school No. 9, finished music in the piano class. The father of the Makhovs' children was an example for them, as he was always in excellent physical shape and taught the kids exercises to develop dexterity and strength.
Sports career
The boy began to learn serious lessons in the sports section at the age of nine, when he was finishing the third grade. He made his first sports steps in the freestyle wrestling section. The guy's sports talents were seen by his first coach, Master Ashnokov.
Over time, changes took place in the life of the Makhov family - they moved to live in the city of Armavir. Unfortunately, there was no section where Bilyal could continue to practice freestyle wrestling. But the athlete did not become discouraged and went to master the Greco-Roman wrestling, new for him. He developed his body well by the time he entered the Olympic reserve school, which is located in Khasavyurt. Bilyal Makhov managed to equally learn mastery in two directions of wrestling.
He successfully began performing at competitions in the Southern Federal District. Here he was noted with his attention by the coach from Dagestan Gadzhi Hajiyev, who became a real mentor for Bilyal. Thanks to the tandem of a trainer and an athlete, the young wrestler managed to win the 2005 junior world championship. Victories followed one after another. One of the significant ones is the victory at the 2007 World Championship in the final fight with Kuramagomed Kuramagomedov.

Bilyal Makhov set himself the goal of participating in the Olympics, which was to be held in the capital of China. However, the sudden deterioration after the famous Yarygin tournament disrupted all the athlete's victorious plans. An incomprehensible poor state of health undermined the strength of the wrestler. A large amount of mercury was found in Belial's blood. The guy did not understand whether it was deliberate or accidental poisoning. He threw all his strength into restoring his athletic form.
