The beginning of the hobby for the theater

Dmitry's love for theatrical art appeared when his close friend entered the directing department, which was headed by Pyotr Fomenko. This happened during Dmitry's training at the aviation technical school. Dmitry's friend persuaded his friends to start studying in an amateur theater studio. Theatrical activity first became Dmitry's hobby, and later the young man decided to get a profession in this area. Dmitry Sobolev tried to enter the acting department at the Moscow Art Theater, at GITIS and at the Schepkinsky School. All attempts to enter theatrical educational institutions were unsuccessful.

Interest in the profession of screenwriter

Sobolev thought a lot about his mission and came to the conclusion that an actor's career was not very suitable for him. Entering the stage caused him discomfort and excitement. But he loved to write scripts and carefully think over sketches. Dmitry decided that he would try to enter the drama department at VGIK. The first attempt to pass the entrance tests was a failure. The persistent young man tried to go there a year later, and he was taken to the faculty of screenwriting on a free basis. The training process at that time was led by Tatyana Dubrovina and Yuri Arabov.

A career as an aspiring screenwriter began to develop during her third year. Dmitry got a job as a screenwriter in a Russian comedy production. The film was directed by Maxim Vorontsov. In 2005 Dmitry created a script for a short film.
