The Moscow Metro is often a puzzle for the uninitiated. Transitions from one station to another can be difficult. These include the transition from "Teatralnaya" to "Revolution Square". But there are a few tricks to making the transplant comfortable and convenient.
The Moscow metro is a whole underground city. Millions of people use this type of public transport every day. Guests of the capital can get lost in its labyrinths. But Muscovites have long known many of the subtleties of the metro, which they use successfully.
The transition between the stations "Teatralnaya" of the Zamoskvoretskaya line (green line) and "Ploschad Revolyutsii" Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya (blue line) is not devoid of nuances. These stations are located in the very center of the capital, not far from the Kremlin and Red Square.
Being on the platform of the Teatralnaya station, you can see a sign in the center of the hall, which indicates the desired path. She calls to climb the flight of stairs from the side of the platform, from the side of which the trains are moving in the north direction, i.e. to the station "Tverskaya", then walk along a long corridor and end up at the "Revolution Square". This journey will take about five minutes, and even more with luggage or with an elderly person.
However, the arrangement of the subway is such that the official transition option can be replaced by an informal one, but practical and convenient.
To do this, it is enough to go up the escalator leading to the southern entrance hall of the Teatralnaya station and, without leaving the turnstile zone, walk a few meters and then go down again on the escalator to the platform of the Ploshchad Revolyutsii station. The whole journey will take several minutes, but instead of a long stamping on the official passage, there is a completely easy journey, standing on escalators. In order not to be mistaken with the choice of the escalator, it should be remembered that the southern lobby will be the one located in the direction of train movement towards the Novokuznetskaya station.
This method is successfully used by passengers who are familiar with this transition option. At the same time, most of them have probably already forgotten the road recommended by the subway signs.
The trick is that the two stations have a combined lobby from which escalators lead to the platforms of each.
By analogy, you can make the reverse transition. While on the platform of the Ploschad Revolyutsii station, you should take the escalator in the direction in which trains move towards the Arbatskaya station, walk the same few meters along the lobby again within the turnstile zone and go down to the Teatralnaya platform …
The most important thing that a passenger should pay attention to when deciding to use the proposed method is the correct choice of escalators. However, having tested the considered option once, he will continue to use it in the future and will gradually begin to consider it not only as an alternative to the official one, but also as a "default" option.
