Leonidov was born in the capital of the Uzbek SSR in May 1943. It is not surprising that a gifted child grew up in the creative family of a ballerina and choreographer.

Together with his parents, Roman moved several times - the Leonidovs lived in Kharkov, in Rostov, in Khabarovsk.

The child studied at the same time in a comprehensive school and at the same time studied music in a children's studio. The famous David Semyonovich Tomashov taught him the basics of violin playing.

When the boy was 11 years old, he participated in the Competition for Young Talents and took first place, masterly playing the violin.

In 1957, Roman's father and mother began working in Baku in the musical theater. In this city, the young violinist continued to improve his skills. He was admitted to the Conservatory of Music. After moving with his family to Krasnodar, the young man passed the entrance exams to the music school of this city, and in 1961 he returned to Azerbaijan.

Career

The talented violinist received a conservatory diploma in 1966 and a year later he went back to Krasnodar to start working here as a music teacher.

In 1982, Leonidov was invited to work at the Astrakhan Conservatory.

In 1993, the famous violinist was elected head of the department, at the same time he became a professor. And after 5 years, Roman Leonidovich was invited to work as vice-rector at the same Astrakhan Conservatory.

Creation

The talented musician managed to defend his dissertation, organized an ensemble, and received the honorary title of Honored Worker.

For 15 years of his teaching career in the Kuban, Roman Leonidovich taught many violinists who became music teachers, orchestra students.

Roman Leonidovich was also a science fiction writer. Even at the age of 19, the talented young man received an award at the Moscow competition of literary works in the style of science fiction.

Together with astrophysicist Amnuel P. R. Leonidov wrote several books.

In 1983, Leonidov's story "Six Paper Sheets" was published. Readers like the style of the story, the relevance of the topic. The genre of this book belongs to adventure fiction.

Personal life

The professor's personal life was also successful. He married in 1982 and then moved with his family to Astrakhan, where he worked at the Department of String Instruments at the Conservatory.

The professor gave 22 years to his beloved educational institution, and in 2004 together with his family he moved to Krasnodar again. Here he continued teaching at the Conservatory. The plans of Leonidov R. L. was to publish a monograph. But they were not destined to come true. The musician died on the eve of his 72nd birthday; he died on May 11, 2015.
