Childhood of an athlete
The countdown of the athlete's biography begins on May 20, 1992. The famous curler was born in St. Petersburg. The young man's family is not well known. But the parents aimed their son at success from childhood. The boy first went to the hockey section - he was only 4 years old at the beginning of admission there. Then he tried his hand at volleyball and table tennis. In parallel, the boy was educated at school.
From this list, the future sports star liked football most of all, he even thought about a career as a professional football player. However, life took a turn, and his coach invited Krushelnitsky to try his hand at curling. So, interest in football faded into the background. Alexander is a graduate of the School of Higher Sports Skills. He also has an education from the St. Petersburg University of Physical Education and Sports. In his spare time he plays for the Adamant club of his hometown hometown.
Sports career
At first it seemed that Krushelnitsky did not shine in sports. For 7 years he played in the men's team, but he did not achieve any tangible results that could be proud of. However, he does not consider these years wasted, because during this period he was able to gain good experience.
Krushelnitsky by nature has the makings of a dealer. Therefore, in a team with other men, it was difficult for him. As a result, he decided to try his hand at double mixed. The first partner of the athlete was Victoria Moiseeva. The change of direction helped and the career took off. However, then the girl decided to return to the team, because this is a variation of the classic game. She became a skip, and Alexander had to look for a new partner.
During this difficult period for himself, Krushelnitsky had support in the person of his beloved girlfriend Anastasia Bryzgalova. She was also an athlete and, moreover, a curler. The search for a partner ultimately boiled down to the fact that it was decided to organize a reliable rear together. They decided to make their way to success together. As a result, Krushelnitsky and Bryzgalova united not only in life, but also on the ice.
At first, this idea did not find support among the coaches of young people. They believed that love passions would prevent the couple from correctly driving the stone along the desired trajectory. For the fact that Krushelnitsky will abandon his idea of performing with Bryzgalova. However, it was no longer possible to knock the athlete off this path. And he decided that together they would still be more comfortable.
The couple changed coaches - now they have one mentor, Vasily Gudin. In the duet, they divided their roles as follows: Krushelnitsky became a skip, and Anastasia became a vmce-skip. At first, according to experts, the games did not work out - failures poured in one after another. The couple even thought about finding other partners for themselves. However, the coach persuaded the guys to go to one more competition, which became a turning point.
The first victory of Krushelnitsky in a new pair took place in 2016. Then their pair took part in both a mixed competition and a mixed pair. Then they were noticed and included in the national team. At the world championship, they again proved that it is not for nothing that famous and promising curlers are called. They brought a gold medal from the championship.
2018 Olympics
The next round of Krushelnitsky's career was the Olympics in Pyeongchang. The coach and the athletes themselves prepared only for the prize-winning place. At first, the game was not going very well. They lost to the USA, and the score was quite impressive - 3: 9. After the guys got together and won victories over the Norwegians, Finns, Koreans and Chinese. Our athletes lost several times.
However, all the same, all this did not prevent a pair of curlers from taking third place in the Olympics. Moreover, this victory was fundamentally important for them, since in this discipline, the country did not have any medals yet.
Personal life
In Krushelnitsky's personal life, everything is quite simple and without features. In 2009, the young athlete met a young curler, Anastasia Bryzgalova. The fateful meeting took place on the ice. The young man did not particularly like the girl. However, three years later they met again and began dating. In June 2017, they became husband and wife. The wedding took place in their native St. Petersburg.
According to experts, on ice the steam is quite harmonious. They are able to negotiate with each other, find a common language and are able to win. Alexander is in the lead on the ice. But at home, as he himself claims, they have complete equality.
How he lives now
In his free time from ice, the young man loves to fish. In addition, Krushelnitsky prefers to travel and relax actively.
At the moment he is playing for a club in St. Petersburg. In addition, he is also experiencing the loss of a medal. After the competition, when everyone congratulated their couple, it turned out that meldonium was found in Krushelnitsky's doping tests. His concentration was such that it became clear that the reception was one-time. However, this fact did not serve as an excuse. Therefore, the medals were taken from them. But he does not give up and prepares for other competitions.
