Over the past decades, the world has undergone simply tremendous changes. The Soviet Union collapsed - one of the two superpowers. Several countries in Central and Southern Europe have also split into smaller states. Exotic computers have become part of the everyday life of hundreds of millions of people. Mobile phones have appeared. The Internet has become widespread. Not surprisingly, for older people, this is akin to a miracle. Today's children are not surprised at all. And what do modern children know about the past?

Instructions

Step 1

Surveys and tests conducted among schoolchildren of different ages show that today's children are very vaguely familiar with the history of the past. Either they have little interest in history at all, or they were poorly taught. Some schoolchildren find it difficult to remember when there was a Civil War in Russia, because of what it started in general, which most famous commanders fought for both sides. About the times and orders associated with the name of I. V. Stalin, modern children also know little. Some children also know almost nothing about the political system of the socialist era, about the pioneer and Komsomol organization, although their parents were pioneers.

Step 2

The Great Patriotic War as an event of grand scale and significance, which brought much more victims and destruction than the Civil War, is known to children better. But here, too, we must state with regret: the knowledge of some schoolchildren about this tragic and great feat of our people is very superficial. The situation has begun to improve somewhat recently, with the strengthening of military-patriotic propaganda and the release of many new films dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.

Step 3

The history from the Victory Day to the beginning of the so-called "perestroika", begun by M. S. Gorbachev, some children know quite well, since their parents and grandparents were direct witnesses of those times. Of the most significant events of that era, many modern schoolchildren confidently name the flight of Yu. A. Gagarin into space, construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline. The times of the so-called "developed socialism", otherwise called "stagnation", are known to children as a situation of general shortage, when the desired product could be obtained only by chance, by acquaintance, or by standing in a huge queue.

Step 4

What household appliances and appliances were available to their parents (and even more so to grandparents), modern schoolchildren have only a faint idea. After all, not every house has preserved, for example, an old refrigerator, TV or radio! Therefore, today's schoolchildren are sincerely amazed to learn that fathers and mothers, when they were children, did not have a computer, no mobile phones, or players. They received information about the situation in the country through radio receivers. Modern children do not know the games that their parents played, because street fun has supplanted computer technology.
