The hat is undoubtedly a very feminine accessory that gives grace and a kind of mystery to its owner. The history of hats is as interesting as the woman herself.
Instructions
Step 1
The word "hat" is translated from German as "a headdress that retains a stable shape." It consists of a bottom, a crown and a field. For the manufacture of hats, straws, felt, cloth, leather, fur, fabrics are used. The women's hat has always been in the center of general public attention: the men's gaze itself stopped at this ingenious construction. The history of hats is rooted in the deep past. In fact, the "ancestors" of the modern fashionable hat first appeared when a person had to protect himself from the cold and the scorching sun by all available means, including with the help of the first hats in history.
Step 2
The hat, like the European cut of the suit, meant the class belonging of a person. In 19th century Russia, a woman's hat became an integral part of the look of any woman who would like to emphasize her involvement in another culture. A woman's hat testified that a girl or a lady had the appropriate education, knew the rules of secular etiquette, and in the theater, for a ball or for a walk, they would choose exactly the hat that corresponded to the occasion.
In the winter of 1908–1909 in the Russian Empire, exotic women's hats of bizarre shapes only began to appear, therefore they still surprised people. Ladies' headdresses began to be decorated with bouquets of flowers or leaves, garlands of artificial poppies, roses and dahlias. The most luxurious were decorated with dry or artificial insects, wings, or even stuffed birds, or at least generously decorated with a feather.
Hats were worn with long dresses with a stand-up collar under the throat and a high or fuzzy waist. An elongated silhouette has come into fashion. To visually lengthen the figure, it was wrapped in a spiral with a scarf, boa or fur. Dresses were most often made of satin or matte moire silk. The most popular colors were a combination of black with purple or fiery red, gray, gray-green, and marsh green.
Step 3
Of course, modern headdresses are not at all similar to their prototypes from ancient times. Centuries of changes in fashion "survived" only a few models, which today are not without reason considered classic. Nowadays, hats made of expensive and dense materials are harmoniously combined with luxurious evening dresses made of satin and silk, and the casual version of a cloche hat made of soft material is very reminiscent of an ordinary panama hat and is able to complement any casual wear.
