Why you can't pluck your eyebrows

According to the Qur'an, changing your appearance is a sin. It is not allowed to make any changes in appearance, unless it is dictated by medical necessity. Plucking eyebrows, a woman changes their shape and, accordingly, makes changes in their appearance. Also, you cannot ask someone else for this procedure or pluck someone's eyebrows yourself. Thus, both salon procedures and work in a beauty salon related to eyebrow shaping are prohibited. However, this prohibition is not as strict as it seems. For example, you can pluck out too coarse and coarse hairs growing separately, from the top or bottom, without changing the basic shape of the eyebrows. It is also possible to remove hair on the bridge of the nose, which gives the eyebrows a fused look, since the bridge of the nose does not belong to the eyebrows.

According to the Qur'an, a woman can adorn herself, but in such a way that it does not go beyond the bounds of modesty.

Is it possible to remove hair

According to the Koran, there is nothing wrong with a woman removing hair on her legs, armpits, pubis, nipples, and chin. If her husband allows her to shave her hair in these places, there is no sin. According to the Qur'an, both men and women need to remove hair around areas where it grows in abundance. Fitra - the ideal of human appearance - includes trimming the mustache, letting go of the beard, brushing the teeth, rinsing the nose, trimming the nails and, besides all this, plucking the hair under the armpits and trimming the pubic hair. Thus, removing excess hair is not only not prohibited, but desirable.

It is the duty of a Muslim woman to monitor her appearance. She should always look clean, tidy and smell good.

What procedures are allowed for Muslim women

In fact, the rules of the Quran are not as strict as they might seem. For example, Muslim women can sunbathe, but only if no one sees it. You can use the solarium or go outdoors with your husband. Muslim women can also do haircuts or perm their hair, dye their hair, but not black. Natural henna and basma are considered ideal paints. Correction of bite and implantation of dental implants are also not a sin. Muslim women can even slightly eyeliner, if this does not change their shape, but only antimony can be used for this. However, more noticeable changes in appearance are prohibited. This includes hair extensions, lip and breast augmentation, tattoos, and work in this area. Replacement of tattoos for Muslims are henna patterns - mehendi. They are applied to the palms and feet, or to the whole body. These drawings are washed off after 1-2 weeks, therefore they are not equated with a change in appearance.
