Constant unrest and a change of government are increasingly causing citizens to want to emigrate from Ukraine to Russia and other foreign countries. The Russian Federation provides residents of Ukraine with the opportunity to obtain citizenship under the compatriot resettlement program, adopted back in 2006.
It is necessary
- - application for participation in the state program;
- - passport and its copy;
- - documents on education and their copy;
- - work record book and its copy;
- - a residence permit or a temporary residence permit in Russia (if any).
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure you qualify for the Compatriot Resettlement Program before emigrating from Ukraine to Russia. Natives of the USSR, the RSFSR and the Russian Federation who are currently citizens of Ukraine (or other states) or have a residence permit in this country, as well as their descendants, can apply for Russian citizenship. The right to participate in the state program is reserved for adults who are capable and able to work, as well as have a good command of the Russian language.
Step 2
Contact the representative office of the FMS of Russia at your place of residence to apply for participation in the resettlement program and emigrate from Ukraine to Russia. You can also submit an application to the diplomatic mission or consular department of the Russian Federation. Attach copies of identity documents, documents on education, vocational training, work experience, as well as information about family members living abroad to the application for participation in the state program. To obtain Russian citizenship, it is necessary to present original documents that confirm the right to temporary or permanent residence in the territory of the Russian Federation (residence permit or temporary residence permit), certify a person's identity and inform his marital status. The documents must be executed in Russian and notarized.
Step 3
Select the region and town in Russia to which you want to emigrate from Ukraine. The list of places available for resettlement includes the regions of the Central North-Western, Southern, Volga, Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern federal districts. The list of populated areas may vary depending on different conditions.
Step 4
After emigration from Ukraine to Russia, the migrants will be given the right to housing, work, free education, free medical care, social protection and benefits and labor exchange services. At the same time, the participants of the State Program and their families will be reimbursed for the costs associated with obtaining a visa and moving to the place of residence.
