Every year more and more citizens of Kazakhstan leave for Russia, especially since it is not so difficult to obtain Russian citizenship or forced migrant status. How to act if you decide to emigrate from Kazakhstan to Russia?
Instructions
Step 1
Check out the laws and regulations governing immigration from Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation. A complete list of legislative acts is presented on the page:
Step 2
Go to the passport office and inform its employees that you intend to leave Kazakhstan for the Russian Federation for permanent residence in the near future. Obtain forms of documents from the passport office (application and petition for issuance of a departure sheet, etc.), fill them in.
Step 3
In about 3 weeks, you will receive a departure sheet at the same passport office, as well as a certificate stating that at the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union you were its citizen and were registered on the territory of the Kazakh SSR. Put a permit stamp in your Kazakh passport.
Step 4
In the event that you have housing in one of the regions of Russia, you can safely leave Kazakhstan and go to this country for permanent residence. Of course, before that, you can try to apply for an immigration quota and leave for the Russian Federation to live in the region proposed under the Oralman resettlement program, or under the Russian program to assist the resettlement of compatriots (ethnic Russians). However, the queue for inclusion in the quota can be waited for several years, and assistance to compatriots from both the Russian Federation and individuals and organizations is, to put it mildly, not very active. So try to enlist in advance the comprehensive support of loyal and worthy people in Russia who could help you find temporary shelter, at least until you rent an apartment or sell your living space in Kazakhstan.
Step 5
Upon arrival in the Russian Federation, contact the passport office and register at the place of residence (temporarily). Next, you will need to contact the FMS department and present a Kazakh passport, after which you will be asked to fill out an application for obtaining Russian citizenship under a simplified scheme. Within 3 months you can become a citizen of Russia.
Step 6
If you have relatives in Russia, or you studied or served under a contract on the territory of the Russian Federation or the RSFSR, or you have merits to this country, then you have the opportunity to obtain Russian citizenship without leaving Kazakhstan, at one of the Russian consulates.
