From the biography of Sergei Rostislavovich Skachkov

The future musician was born in Leningrad on April 19, 1956. The kindergarten the boy attended was located in the historic center of the city. Pupils from a young age were taught to appreciate music, nature, the animal world. Serezha spent every summer in a pioneer camp. His mother worked here as a doctor, and his grandmother worked as a cleaner. Skachkov's father was an officer.

During his school years, Sergei attended private piano lessons. Skachkov himself recalled that at an early age he had no particular interest in music lessons. Then the family moved and the music lessons for the boy ended.

It so happened that the father left the family. And when Sergei was in the third grade, his mother was gone. The future musician was brought up by my grandmother.

As a child, Seryozha dreamed of many things: he wanted to become a driver, a sailor, or an astronaut. His aunt's husband instilled in the boy a love of airplanes and technology.

School wisdom was given to Skachkov without much difficulty. He was especially good at mathematics.

After school, Sergei entered the Leningrad College of Marine Instrumentation. Sergey's specialty is a mathematician-programmer. After becoming a student of LTMP, Skachkov began performing as part of a rock group. It was then that Vladimir Kiselev noticed him, after which he invited him to the "Earthlings" group. The musician's ascent to the heights of fame began.

Musical career of Sergei Skachkov

In the collective "Earthlings" Sergei was assigned the role of vocalist and keyboard player. He did this job flawlessly. Subsequently, the musical group began to be identified with its characteristic timbre of voice. While working in the collective, Skachkom met many composers. In collaboration with the masters of musical art, such masterpieces as "Sorry, Earth", "Stuntmen", "Grass at Home" were born.

When creating hits, the team members focused on the lyrics. The compositions glorified real "male" professions. Melodies for hits were chosen "heavier".

The composition of the team changed from time to time. The first recognition and awards came in 1985. Three years later, the founder of the team retired. After that, major changes took place in the group. The team broke up in 1992. However, the new "Earthlings" briefly gathered in 1996 to take part in the election campaign of Boris Yeltsin.

In an interview, Sergei admitted that he was no longer interested in his relationship with Kiselev. Skachkov believes that he has the right to use the "Earthlings" repertoire, to which he is directly related. According to the vocalist's own admission, he performs "grass at home" twice at concerts.

In the same years, the renewed collective "Zemlyans" worked hard on new compositions. The albums "Earthlings", "Symbols of Love", "Coldness of the Soul" were born.

As for the videography of the group, it is relatively small. So far, there are only eight video clips on this list. Among them: "Small boat", "Cold of the soul", "Grass at home".

An interesting fact: at the ceremony of awarding Skachkov with the Order For Diligence for the Good of the Fatherland, the Earthlings group together with cosmonauts Anatoly Solovyov and Sergei Krikalev together sang his song "Grass at Home".

Personal life of Sergei Skachkov

It just so happened that Skachkov managed to find personal happiness only in his third marriage. For the sake of Sergei, his future wife abandoned prosperous Italy and her husband, who had a big business.

Sergei met Albina when she arrived in Leningrad. The woman attended the musician's party. At this time, Skachkov was in a second marriage. Therefore, communication with Albina did not go beyond the permissible boundaries. A year later, Sergei divorced, informed Albina about this and invited him to celebrate the New Year. After this meeting, feelings flared up with renewed vigor. A new life began for everyone.

Before her marriage to Skachkov, Albina had two husbands. But she divides her life into the one that was before meeting with Sergey, and the one that began after they met.

The lovers sealed their relationship not only with signatures in the registry office: Sergei and Albina got married in one of the temples of the city on the Neva.

In 1998, a son was born in a new family. They named him Sergei. A year later, the couple adopted a girl, Masha. Skachkov does not forget his daughter Yana, who was born in her first marriage. He is a grandfather - his daughter gave him two grandchildren.

Skachkov's interests are very versatile. He enjoys collecting old utensils and devotes a lot of time to tuning vintage cars. At one time, the musician considered himself an avid mushroom picker, but over time, the passion for "quiet hunting" subsided.
