Sergey Shabanov was born on January 10, 1956 in an ordinary family. Parents lived in the famous city of Leningrad. His father, a career officer, served in one of the military units. Mother worked as a mathematics teacher at an electro-technical institute. Shabanov studied well at school. He actively participated in social and sports life. The favorite subjects of the future lawyer were mathematics and physics. After the tenth grade, he decided not to interrupt the family tradition, and received a higher engineering education at the Leningrad Artillery School named after Red October.
