Every resident of Russia must be registered in the compulsory pension insurance system (OPS). Including unemployed citizens, minor children and the military. The certificate of this registration is a green card, which contains the insurance number of the individual personal account (SNILS), the personal data of the person and the date of registration in the OPS system. If you do not have such a card yet or have lost it, you will definitely receive it! After all, SNILS is necessary not only for calculating pensions and calculating benefits.
Instructions
Step 1
Contact your employer (provided that your employment relationship is formalized and you still have not received SNILS). Receive from him a questionnaire of the established form and fill it in by hand in block letters without blots and corrections. Or print on a printer or typewriter. Employees of your HR department can also fill out the questionnaire for you, but in any case, the data of the questionnaire must be certified by your personal signature. Wait until your employer submits the application to the Pension Fund, where they will assign you an individual personal account number and send you a pension insurance certificate card confirming the fact of your registration in the OPS system. Obtain this card from your employer and keep it.
Step 2
Contact in person the regional body of the Pension Fund of Russia at your place of residence. Take your passport with you. If you want to get SNILS for a minor child, then take his birth certificate. Minors under the age of 14, when applying independently, must present their birth certificate and parent's passport, and after reaching the age of 14, only their own passport is sufficient. Obtain a form from the Pension Fund employees and fill it out as required. After the necessary checks (usually every other day) get your retirement insurance certificate in your hands.
Step 3
Change your pension insurance certificate card if your personal data (surname, first name, etc.) have changed within two weeks from the date of registration of the changes (through the employer's personnel agency or in person). When exchanging certificates, only your changed data will be replaced. SNILS itself - that is, directly, the number - remains unchanged. It is assigned once and for life. If you have lost your pension insurance certificate, apply to the Pension Fund (also through your employer or in person). The territorial body of the Pension Fund of Russia will consider your application and issue a duplicate of the pension insurance certificate in about a month.
