The unexpected death on August 9, 2018 of the brilliant actor and director of theater and cinema, screenwriter and theater teacher - Honored Artist of Russia Dmitry Vladimirovich Brusnikin - became a real loss for our country. On November 17, 1957, the future idol of millions of compatriots was born in the family of a serviceman who paid his military duty to his homeland in Potsdam, Germany. Due to the nomadic profession of his father, Dima was forced to change schools very often. And already at the age of fifteen, he received a certificate of secondary education and entered, together with his older brother, Mikhail, at the Institute of Electronic Technology in Zelenograd.
Since 1975, under the patronage of his brother, Dmitry tried himself in acting, having met the director and many actors of the People's Theater in Zelenograd. Entering the stage, he was imbued with the spirit of the actor and decided to continue his education in this direction. And in 1978 Brusnikin entered the course of Oleg Nikolaevich Efremov at the Moscow Art Theater School.
It was here that Dmitry Vladimirovich performed many theatrical roles and even met his future wife. After graduating from the legendary theatrical university, he began to serve in the troupe of the Moscow Art Theater. And since 1982 he started teaching at his native alma mater. First as an assistant in acting, and since 1983 as a teacher, recruiting his first course of students.
Debut in cinema took place with Dmitry Vladimirovich in 1984, when he played his first role as a Red Army soldier in the film "Detachment". Here he went to the set with his classmates Sergei Garmash and Alexander Feklistov. Since the mid-eighties, the novice actor has experienced serious creative growth. Then he worked at the Theater-Studio "Man", where he made a directorial debut in the production "Waiting for Godot", became an actor of the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov (after the separation of his native Studio School) under the leadership of Oleg Efremov, continued to act in films.

The only wife of Dmitry Brusnikin was on May 25, 1979, his classmate Marina Sycheva. And on June 21, 1983, the wife gave birth to a son, Philip. In this happy and strong family union, which can truly be considered exemplary, the brilliant artist proved himself to be a person for whom family and children are the main priorities in life.
On August 9, 2018, at the age of sixty, the newly appointed artistic director of the Moscow Art Theater named after A. P. Chekhov passed away, having transferred to this position from the post of director. While being treated at the Botkin hospital, Dmitry Vladimirovich even refused leave, feeling an improvement in his physical condition, but on August 9, his condition suddenly worsened, which led to a death.
