Family, early years

Elina Avraamovna was born on April 4, 1928. The family lived in Kiev. Her father was an infectious disease doctor, and her mother was a cook in a hospital. The girl's name was Ellina, but in the documents, due to inattention, she was recorded as Elina.

The father wanted his daughter to become a doctor. During the war, Elina was a nurse in a hospital, at the time she was 13 years old. In 1944, she began studying at a medical school, as her father insisted.

The girl attended the drama club, ballet class with pleasure. She became interested in art and after graduating from college she wanted to enter a theater institute, but her father was against it.

Then Bystritskaya began to study at the pedagogical institute, where she organized a dance group. They won the competition, for which Elina was given a ticket to the holiday home. The girl met Gebdovskaya Natalia, an actress, she convinced Bystritskaya to study acting. Returning home, Elina left the pedagogical institute and began to study at a theater university. She finished her studies in 1953.

Creative biography

By distribution, Bystritskaya got into the Kherson drama theater, but she soon quit, as the director took liberties with her. The young actress was helped to get a job at the Mossovet Theater, but she did not stay there - slander was written on Bystritskaya many times.

Later, Elina worked at the Vilnius Drama Theater, but dreamed of performing in the capital's theater. Her wish came true only after the release of the painting "Volunteers".

The first film debut was the role in the film "Taras Shevchenko", but the footage with her was cut out. In 1950, Bystritskaya starred in the movie "In Peaceful Days" with Yumatov Georgy, Vasilyeva Vera, Tikhonov Vyacheslav.

The young actress was remembered by the audience. For her work in the film "Unfinished Story" Elina received the title of the best actress of the year, became a member of the delegation for a trip to Paris for the Week of Soviet Cinema.

The best film work was the role of Aksinya in The Quiet Don (1958). The film "Volunteers" also became successful. Other films with the participation of Bystritskaya: "Last Tour", "Brave Guys", "Babi Yar", "Return of Mukhtar" and others. She has 28 films on her account.

The artist gives concerts, performing romances, songs of the war years. Since 1978, Bystritskaya taught at GITIS, the Shchukin School.

Personal life

Bystritskaya had many fans, but the novels quickly ended. She was in love with Kirill Lavrov, but he had a girlfriend.

Elina Avraamovna's husband was Nikolai Kuzminsky, an employee of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, he had many foreign business trips. They lived together for more than 25 years, they did not have children. The marriage broke up due to the frequent betrayal of her husband.

Bystritskaya never got married. She lives in the suburbs, keeps fit, loves to play billiards.
