Childhood and youth
Ted was born on September 22, 1957 in Brooklyn. His parents named him after a famous baseball player. He spent his childhood in one of the poorest quarters of the city. As a teenager, he wanted to become a radio presenter and began to take the first steps towards his dream, enrolling in a school of announcers. After serving in the US Army, Ted dabbled in the role of a disc jockey at a radio station. For some time he worked on the radio at night as an announcer.
Addiction

Family and personal life
Ted has two sons and seven daughters. He divorced his wife when he had acute toxic substance problems.
Because of his addiction, Ted ruined his relationship with his mother. A year after the video was released, Ted tried to visit New York to see his mother, who was then over 90 years old. Unfortunately, the trip was initially interrupted by problems with documents, but Ted resolved these problems and reunited with his mother.
