Biography
The future musician was born in 1964, on August 3 in the Vinnitsa region, in the village of Mikhailovka.
In his memoirs, Mazur says that he comes from a musical family. Vladimir is the youngest of three brothers, and they all play the guitar. Such musical abilities of the sons are largely due to their father, who mastered many instruments and was the leader of a brass band. It is not surprising that music was always played in their house.
Even in early childhood, Vladimir mastered the button accordion. He learned to play this instrument without even knowing musical notation and not attending a music school. The younger brother chose the songs himself.
But playing the button accordion helped him later, when Vladimir was invited to a local ensemble to work on keyboard players.
And he began to master the guitar in the ninth grade. Since then, the musician has practically never parted with this instrument. The guitar was also the soldier's combat companion when he was drafted into the army in 1982. After completing the course of a young fighter, Mazur goes to Afghanistan. This was in 1983.
Creativity, career
Circumstances so developed that Vladimir Mazur began his career in a military situation. As he himself recalls, the song brightened up difficult everyday life, allowed at least for a while not to think about the war.
Fellow soldiers said that Mazur's musical ballad "Anxiety" raises their morale, and that it is not scary to die after it.
Vladimir himself also went on dangerous combat missions more than once. After one of them, he was wounded, as a result of which the doctors assigned him the third category of disability.
The former "Afghan" has many medals, military insignia.
The musician was able to find himself in a peaceful life. After serving in the Army, he worked as a physical education teacher at the Electromechanical College of the city of Kiev. Then he taught physical education at the Engineering College of Saransk.
Since 1989, the bard began to actively tour, engage in concert and creative activities. Also, Vladimir is doing a lot of social work.
From 1999 to 2002, he worked at the Rus rehabilitation center, and even developed a social program for the rehabilitation of disabled people through leisure and cultural activities.
