The story is about a simple Russian guy who went through the Great Patriotic War, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor for outstanding services to the Fatherland.
Pre-war childhood
Alexey Trofimovich Khoroshikh was born in the Irkutsk region in 1923. His parents were simple peasants. The family lived in the village of Mattagan. They lived like everyone else in those days: poorly, they worked hard. The boy graduated from only 5 classes of a rural school and began to help his parents earn a living. There was no time for education. He went to work as a shepherd at a local sheep-breeding state farm.
The work of a shepherd - a shepherd of sheep, at first glance may seem quite simple. In fact, good performance takes a lot of work. The shepherd's working day begins at 4-5 in the morning, when it is required to drive out the flock to graze. It is constantly necessary to ensure that the sheep do not huddle together, and with the onset of heat, look for a cooler place for them. In the summer, the sheep are brought out to graze at night. A good offspring and a lot of wool can only be obtained from a well-fed sheep. Therefore, Alexey had to work a lot.
War years
From the beginning of the Great Patriotic War at the age of 18, Aleksey Khoroshikh was called to defend the Motherland. He took an active part in the battles of the Red Army and served throughout the war as a corporal in the mortar brigade, unit No. 43.
In the summer of 1945, he took part in active battles against the Japanese invaders. In the award list, the commander noted that the military operations were conducted in difficult conditions: the vehicles could not move, getting stuck in the swamps. Lance corporal Aleksey Khoroshikh repaired the road with his own hand. He dragged huge stones, bushes, thereby making it possible for military equipment to move.
For participation in the Great Patriotic War, Alexey was awarded:
- Order of the `` Patriotic War, 2nd degree '' dated 1985-11-03;
- the medal `` For Military Merit '' dated 1944-20-06;
- the medal `` For Military Merit '' dated 1945-23-08;
- the medal "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War" in 1941-1945;
- medal `` For the capture of Konigsberg '' from 07.11.1946.
Labor activity
Demobilized, Khoroshikh hurried to his native land - the Irkutsk region, the state farm `` Pervomaisky '', where he began to work for the good of the Motherland. Alexey Trofimovich learned all the subtleties of sheep breeding in the pre-war years. Thus, he had a certain experience behind him and a great desire to work.
Aleksey Khoroshikh showed the best results in a short time, and he was entrusted to lead the sheep-breeding brigade. The performance indicators began to grow. From a hundred mother sheep, an increase of up to 135 lambs was obtained, good results were brought by shearing of wool. The state farm's hard work did not go unnoticed.
A. T. The good ones were many times invited to participate in the All-Union Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy of the USSR. At VDNKh, a master of his craft with great desire gave recommendations, talked about his experience.
Over time, the activities of a successful worker on the state farm began to take on an ever-increasing scale. Alexey Trofimovich, together with his colleagues, bred a new breed of Krasnoyarsk fine-wooled sheep of the 'Angarsk type'. Among the distinctive characteristics of this breed, a high degree of adaptation to habitat conditions is noted. By their genetic characteristics, animals are highly productive, produce a lot of wool and meat.
In addition to sheep breeding, Aleksey Khoroshikh began to take an active part in the work of the state farm in all areas. And it is worth noting that he successfully achieved his goals in everything.
Every year he set tasks for the workers of the state farm:
- to increase the collection and sale of state grain;
- to increase the rate of sales of agricultural products;
- keep high performance in sheep breeding.
For high performance in the implementation of plans and dedication in work, his successes were noted at the highest state level. It was 1976. '' By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union '' Horoshikh was awarded the honorary title - '' Hero of Socialist Labor ''.
For his great contribution to the development of agriculture, an outstanding worker was awarded:
- Order of the October Revolution from 1971-04-08;
- Order of Lenin dated 1973-06-09;
- Order of Lenin from 23.12.1976;
- medal `` Hammer and Sickle '' from 23.12.1976
Alexey Trofimovich at the end of his career was elected a people's deputy of the district council in the Irkutsk region. His work was highly appreciated by his colleagues and residents of the region. So the career of a guy from a poor peasant family, which began as a simple shepherd, turned out to be successful.
Aleksey Khoroshikh retired in 1984, having worked at his own state farm for over 40 years. Unfortunately, nothing is known about his personal life. But, judging by the achievements in the working sphere, Alexey Trofimovich lived a happy life: he was doing what he loved all the time, giving advice to the growing working generation. He died in 2001 at the age of 77.
