Biography
Anatoly Shariy was born in Kiev in 1978. He grew up in an ordinary family, which later literally rejected the man because of his apolitical views. In his youth, Anatoly graduated from a tank school and was thinking about a military career, but faced with such a problem as gambling addiction. The guy experienced constant excitement, which he could hardly cope with. A way out was found in the form of journalism: conducting investigations made it possible to get no less thrill.
In 2005, Anatoly Shariy was already a well-known Ukrainian journalist who collaborates with a large number of publications. He has also been published more than once in the Russian "Moskovsky Komsomolets". Shariy focused on various socially important issues, touching upon class inequality, poverty, drug trafficking and criminal life in Ukraine. Many well-known personalities were brought to justice not without the participation of a journalist.
In 2013, Anatoly Shariy created the eponymous YouTube channel. The reason for this was the observer's desire to draw public attention to the criminal acts of the Ukrainian authorities, the seizure of power in the country and popular unrest. The journalist also opened the Shariy.net website dedicated to the same problems. Shariy quickly began to gain a loyal audience. Shariy often speaks out on Russian political topics, but pays particular attention to Ukraine. Lawsuits were brought against the journalist more than once, and threats of assassination were even poured against him. Personal life
Anatoly Shariy was deprived of the opportunity to start a family for a long time because of his dangerous activities, for which a real hunt was opened for a man more than once. And yet he managed to find happiness in the form of his wife Olga Rabulets, who worked in the editorial office of one of the Ukrainian glossy publications. In 2011, their daughter Catherine was born.
The journalist's marriage began to disintegrate with the beginning of his blogging activities. However, Shariy did not stay alone for long: he married journalist Olga Bondarenko, who took her husband's surname and started her own YouTube channel with a similar direction. The couple live in the Netherlands and communicate with their fans through social media. Currently, the Anatoly Shariy channel has about two million subscribers, and the journalist himself has several times won prestigious awards for his work.
