Recently, quite a few films have appeared on television screens, which are dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War, but the series "Scouts" stands somewhat apart from the bulk of such films. In this tape, the viewer is shown the events of the last military spring of 1945, when hostilities were already unfolding in Germany and the Czech Republic, but here real events and fantastic assumptions of the scriptwriters of the picture are surprisingly combined.
According to the plot of the film, the group of Colonel Kuznetsov (Boris Shcherbakov) is tasked with checking the information obtained during the military reconnaissance operation. We are talking about another possible "weapon of retaliation", the successful work on which was trumpeted by the propaganda machine of the Third Reich for a long time. But if the work on the creation of ballistic missiles was carried out at the test site in Peenemünde, then in the laboratory located in the Czech Tatras, according to information from scattered sources, the so-called discs ("flying saucers") were developed. According to modern historians, all these conversations remained just conversations that did not find their concrete embodiment, but the creators of the "Scouts" demonstrated in the series that test samples of new weapons were created. Even the first experimental launches of discs took place here, and at present the laboratory and the plant are preparing for evacuation, because the advanced units of the Red Army have already come close to the place of deployment. Colonel Kuznetsov's group must find the laboratory and capture the echelon, which, according to the Wehrmacht leadership's intention, should not fall into the hands of the Red Army under any circumstances - only the Americans or the British can surrender the creators of the "weapon of retaliation." echelon will be found and captured, but the adventures of the scouts do not end there. Even the seemingly peaceful life of a reconnaissance group in the house of such a decent Czech family will actually be full of adventures and exploits, because it is so difficult to understand who is who in reality. And behind the face of a man who smiles and talks peacefully with members of the reconnaissance group, there is a hardened murderer and a Nazi, on whose hands the blood of many innocent people. The last battle of the scouts will be completed many days after the Victory, because for many soldiers in Czechoslovakia, hostilities continued after May 9, 1945.
