Moscow, troubled 1990s. Andrei Ivanovich Berestov (actor Vladimir Antonik) is a famous archaeologist who devoted his life to finding the burial place of the last Scythian king Kolaksai. Among researchers there is a legend about ancient treasures hidden in the Golden tent of the Scythians. But no one seems to believe Berestov, and he does not find support in scientific circles. Finding funding for this "adventure" is impossible. Then the archaeologist, at his own peril and risk, independently makes an attempt to go in search of a gold treasure on the Taman Peninsula.
To do this, he sells his own apartment. The family fully supports the scientist. He is accompanied by his wife (actress Anna Kamenkova) and already adult children - son Igor (actor Roman Grechishkin) and daughter Sasha (actress Elena Nikolaeva). Sasha is followed by her fiancé, Gleb Bolshakov (actor Alexei Vorobyov).
But, as it turns out, they are not the only ones interested in mythological treasures. The French archaeologist Thierry Montfrey (actor Martins Wilsons) is showing interest in them.
As a result, the treasures are in the hands of Andrei Berestov. Among them is the golden armor of the Scythian king. But from the excavation site, someone steals several artifacts - a helmet, a sword and a shield of an ancient warrior.
