Childhood

The twins Volodya and Yura Torsuevs were born on April 22, 1966. On this day, the country celebrated a memorable date - the anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Lenin. However, the boy was named not after the leader of the proletariat, but after his grandfather. Yuri received the name of the first cosmonaut on Earth. The father of the twins worked as the secretary of the Central Committee of the Komsomol and was personally acquainted with Gagarin.

The brothers studied at the Moscow school number 23, played hockey and music. Volodya and Yura grew up as hooligans. There was not much entertainment: new films in the cinema and a showdown with the guys from the neighboring area.

"Adventures of Electronics"

In 1979, the Odessa Film Studio announced a casting for the role for the new film "The Adventures of Electronics". The director's assistants watched hundreds of pairs of twins. 10-year-old boys, in addition to good looks, required the ability to drive a moped and play the guitar.

The Torsuev brothers were brought to the set by their mother. A few minutes after their appearance, the second director Yuri Kostantinov approved the boys' candidacies. They played well and sang well, even the fact that the guys were a couple of years older than expected did not prevent them from getting the main roles in the film. Initially, Volodya was approved for the role of Syroezhkin, his brother, who was a few minutes older, became an Electronics. But from the first days of filming on the set, something did not go well. After the director changed the places, things went well.

The heroes of the picture deceived teachers, fought with criminals, constantly found themselves in unusual situations and, together with their comrades, looked for a way out of them. Every shooting day was a holiday for the guys. The work on the film took place for 8 months in Odessa. The boys spent the night at the hotel and received their salaries. They soon learned how to spend money and enjoyed buying ice cream, soda and visiting the rides in the park. They appeared at school infrequently, in a free schedule, besides, it turned out to be Ukrainian and with English.

The work was given to novice actors easily. They played themselves and kept a childlike naturalness. Often the guys had to argue with the director and prove that they are better versed in matters. Adult colleagues perceived the boys as equals.

Riding the wave of popularity

After the release of the picture on television screens, success came to the brothers. From all over the country Syroezhkin and Elektronik received packs of letters, their photos appeared in Pionerskaya Pravda and in many magazines. The guys liked the popularity, but it did not spoil them. Parents suffered the most in the family, they often had to change their phone number.

Three years later, the Torsuev brothers starred in the children's musical film "The Adventures of Dunno" (1984). Many characters from the famous Nosov trilogy were present in the picture, but the plot was completely invented. Volodya embodied the image of the Magician in the tape. However, the film was unable to repeat the success of the previous film with the twins.

Youth

Having received certificates of secondary education, the brothers entered the printing institute. It didn't take them long to teach them a lesson, from the first year Vladimir and Yura were expelled with the wording "for immoral behavior." The brothers themselves believed that their behavior did not differ from their fellow students, but "they were constantly in sight." Then they signed up for driving courses at DOSAAF, and having received their license, they began to work at a bakery. Soon the guys were drafted into the army. Their service took place in Solnechnogorsk near Moscow - they drove the generals and supported each other.

After demobilization, they tried again to get higher education. Volodya entered the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University, Yura decided to devote himself to the study of Asia and Africa. But not this time, the brothers could not receive diplomas, and soon they were again invited to act in films. This time in the film "Russian Brothers" (1992) they got opposite roles. Vladimir played a criminal, Yura got the role of a riot policeman. After the film was edited, all its absurdity became clear.

Two years later, a new fantastic fairy tale with the participation of the brothers was released under the name "Venetian Glass" (1994), which also had no success.

Business

Even before the start of work on the film "Russian Brothers" Vladimir got a job at the "Three Te" film studio, was engaged in customs issues. When the shooting began, I had to write a letter of resignation. Years later, Volodya was very sorry about this, but then he received as much for the shooting day as he earned in a month from Nikita Mikhalkov.

New attempts to start a business have failed. Vladimir traded in groceries, together with his brother opened a night club "Apropo", but none of the projects became profitable. The business brought numerous problems, due to which Yuri even had to leave the country for a while. For some time

Volodya worked in a taxi, and then got a job as a simple employee in a Moscow company.

For 8 years, Vladimir worked in the customs group of a metallurgical company. Then he moved to Krasnoyarsk, worked in the regional administration, was engaged in logistics at the Terminal company, and soon became the general director. Then he tried to establish a business in Novosibirsk and open his own musical project. Having learned that a customs administration is being created in Norilsk Nickel, he made every effort to get there. Since then, Torsuev Jr. has been working in this company.

Personal life

Unlike his brother, who has been married for a long time and has a son, Vladimir tried to start a family several times. He got married for the first time right after leaving school and after a month he separated from his wife. The second marriage was registered after serving in the army, but it also turned out to be unsuccessful. The man sought his third wife Irina for 10 years, but their marriage was doomed, since they lived in different parts of the country. In total, 7 marriages happened in Vladimir's life, of which 4 were official. The last chosen one of Torsuev was the girl Masha, who for the first time gave him the joy of fatherhood. In 2007, the 42-year-old actor had a daughter, Elizabeth.

Together with his brother, Vladimir demonstrated his work in several more films: the drama "Gromozeka" (2010), TV serials "After School" (2012) and "And In Our Yard" (2016). But the best period of his biography and acting career, he calls his childhood and work on the film "The Adventures of Electronics". Vladimir Torsuev dreams of one day shooting a sequel to this film, which has become a cult in the history of Soviet cinema.
