Instructions

Step 1

During your prayer appeal to the Lord, the Mother of God and the Holy Saints, stand (according to Orthodox customs), and do not sit. Sick, old, or infirm people can pray in whatever position suits them.

Step 2

Saying the words of the prayer, sign yourself with the right sign of the cross:

- fold the fingers of your right hand with three fingers (with a pinch);

- put your hand first on your forehead, then on your stomach, on your right shoulder and on your left;

- bow after putting the sign of the cross on yourself.

Step 3

Sober up your thoughts, clear them before you start praying. Lower your eyes to the floor or to the iconic image, but do not raise them to the ceiling. Delve into the spoken words of the prayer, do not read them thoughtlessly, try to penetrate them, cleanse yourself with their help.

Step 4

Ask only worthy blessings in your prayer. And don't stop asking the Lord about it until you get it, even if a lot of time has passed. When asking God for something, do not forget to do good to your neighbors, do not violate God's commandments.

Step 5

Offer up prayers to God not only for yourself, but also for the other person. As a result, both the one who prays and the one for whom they are praying receives benefit. You will feel how strength will immediately come to you.

Step 6

The best time for prayer, which has the greatest power, is before sunrise or before half past seven in the morning in the area where you live. Pray also on the way to work, in the afternoon, whenever you feel like it. Such a prayer will give peace, but morning prayer really allows you to change your destiny.

Step 7

The duration of the prayer can be anything you want. For one, two, five minutes or more. Over time, you yourself will come to the conclusion that a longer prayer cleanses you, calms you down, adjusts you to the right thoughts. Prayer aloud allows you to focus on God, to collect your thoughts.

Step 8

Pray before meals and when preparing food. In this case, you get rid of bad thoughts, starting a meal, the food will be healthy for you and will not harm the body.
