People's Artist of Russia since 2015 - Olga Drozdova - began her career from the farthest corner of our Motherland. The Far Eastern town of Nakhodka, and then Vladivostok, Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg) and, finally, Moscow and the stage of the Sovremennik Theater have brought a talented woman to the heights of domestic show business.
The popular domestic actress Olga Drozdova currently has dozens of theatrical performances and film works behind her shoulders. A native of the Far East, she was able to conquer not only the heart of Dmitry Pevtsov, but also touch the sensual strings of millions of fans of her talent.
Biography and career of Olga Borisovna Drozdova
On the funniest day in 1965, which falls on April 1, in the small town of Nakhodka, Primorsky Krai, the future People's Artist of Russia, Olga Borisovna Drozdova, was born. The explosive genetic mixture of the descendant of the noble family of the father (Boris Fedorovich Drozdov - the captain of the long voyage) and gypsy blood on the mother could not but affect the appearance and temperament of the girl.
The girl's decision to become an artist came after she attended a performance staged by the Khabarovsk Drama Theater, which arrived in her native Nakhodka on tour. After the death of her father at the age of fifteen, Olga had a very hard time: she had to wash the floors and work as a gardener. However, this did not prevent her from becoming a gold medalist.
And then there was the Vladivostok Institute of Arts, from where she hurriedly left without giving any reason, the Sverdlovsk Theater University (course of Dmitry Astrakhan), unsuccessful admission to the Shchukin School and, finally, the Shchepkin Theater School, where she completed the course of Vladimir Safronov.
After graduating from a theatrical university, Olga Drozdova joined the troupe of the Moscow Sovremennik Theater, where she still serves. The audience could get acquainted with her work in productions: Chekhov's "Three Sisters", "Three Comrades" by Erich Maria Remarque, Shakespeare's "Windsor Mockers", "Demons" by F. M. Dostoevsky, Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard", "A Warning to Small Ships" Tennessee Williams and many others.
She made her film debut in Drozdova back in Sverdlovsk with a cameo role in Vladimir Laptev's film "The Trouble - the Beginning". In 1992, Olga got the main role for the first time in the adventure drama Alice and the Bookseller, where she starred with her future husband, Dmitry Pevtsov. Today, behind the shoulders of the popular artist there are already many films, among which I would like to separately note the following: "Walk on the scaffold", "Queen Margot", "Gangster Petersburg", "Stop on demand", "Alexander Pushkin", "Coco Chanel", " Champions from the Gates”,“Einstein. The theory of love”.
Despite the fact that the artist avoids any public events other than working in the theater and cinema, in 2015, when she turned fifty, she took part in the filming of the TV shows "SMAK" and "Alone with Everyone" (Channel One). In the same jubilee year, she was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia.
Personal life of the artist
The first spouse of the artist was a young actor Alexander Borovikov during his student years. This family union had to break up soon due to the haste of the decision.
Today Olga Drozdova is married to Dmitry Pevtsov, whom she met on the set of the film "Walk on the scaffold". Despite the fact that at that moment she was the bride of the Swiss director Stash, two hearts soon began to beat in unison. And in 1994, the couple got married. In 2007, a joint child was born in the family - the son Elisha.
In 2012, a tragedy struck in the family of Olga Drozdova - the son of Dmitry Pevtsov died from his first marriage, Daniel. The couple was able to go through a difficult period together and now nothing threatens their family happiness. Currently, their marriage is called one of the strongest in Russian show business.
