Alexander Feklistov was born on December 7, 1955 in Leningrad. Sasha's mother is a librarian, and his father is a military man, so the family often changed their place of residence, but soon decided to stay in Moscow. Alexander received his secondary education at Moscow School No. 773.

From childhood, Sasha was distinguished by his interest in acting. He reread all the literature on theater and cinema available to him. The boy dreamed of acting in films and working as an actor on stage. While still a student, he got into the studio theater of Vyacheslav Spesivtsev. Then Alexander combined work and study for 6 years. However, he soon decided to get a job at the theater. The attempt was unsuccessful. Moreover, Alexander lost a whole year without entering any theater university. Only the next academic year did Feklistov manage to enter the Moscow Art Theater.

Since 1982, after graduation, Alexander has been an actor in the Moscow Art Theater. At this time, the actor played many recognizable roles - "The Pickwick Club", "Days of the Turbines", "Candlelight Ball", "Love in the Crimea", etc. Since 1988 - the actor organized the Fifth Studio of the Moscow Art Theater. In 2001, Alexander left the troupe of the Moscow Art Theater and began to play at the Bogis Theater Agency and the Satyricon Theater.

During his theatrical activities, Alexander played many different roles - comedy, dramatic, and detective. It is for his theatrical versatility that he has repeatedly received prestigious awards. In 1993 Alexander became a laureate of the Crystal Rose prize. In 1995 he received the Golden Mask for Best Actor in the production of Bashmachkin. Also this year he received the Smoktunovsky Prize. In 1998 for "Hamlet" and in 2003 for the play "Twelfth Night" he received the "Seagull" prize.

In cinema, Alexander Feklistov made his debut in 1984, in the film "Detachment". Then he played roles one by one - today there are about 130 paintings with his participation. "Matchmakers", "Inhabited Island", "Informer", "Stalin", "Birthday of the Bourgeois", "Kamenskaya" - this is the minimum list of recognizable films in which the actor played the roles assigned to him remarkably.

The last work was the role in the film "Chernobyl" (2018).

Alexander tried himself in the role of both a director and a screenwriter. His work was the film "Chekhov and Co" (1998).

Today Alexander acts as a free artist. It is not assigned to any theater. He starred in films and TV shows. Films with his participation are broadcast on TV channels in Russia and Ukraine.

Personal life

In his personal life, Alexander is an absolutely happy person. The wife of Alexander Feklistov (Elena) is an economist on Russian television. The couple have three children and already have a grandson from their eldest daughter. They also have a dog in their family - an ordinary mongrel Nyusha.
