Every year, on the day of the death of Vladimir Vysotsky, in many Russian cities, evenings are held in memory of this man, who has become a symbol of an entire era. This date is celebrated not only by museum exhibitions and expositions, performances and concerts, sailing regattas are even held in honor of the artist in several cities. Of course, the traditional evening is sure to take place in Moscow, the city where the poet and bard worked and lived.
On July 25, 2012, Moscow hosted an evening in memory of Vysotsky, which was timed to coincide with the 32nd anniversary of the poet's death. On the eve of this date on Taganka, in the Vysotsky Center-Museum, a thematic exhibition “1972. Leap summer of Vladimir Vysotsky . The exhibition was dedicated to the rich and fruitful period of the poet's life, in which many works were created that became songs, including those that sounded in films, performances and theatrical performances with the participation of Vysotsky.
On this day, in Vysotsky's house on Taganka, a performance by director Rashid Tugushev “Paradise apples”, based on the poet's works, was held. And on the stage of the Taganka Theater was shown the performance-concert “I, Vysotsky Vladimir …”, which was based on the book “Vladimir or the Interrupted Flight” by Marina Vlady. The production was directed by the new artistic director of the theater, Valery Zolotukhin.
Friends and colleagues of the artist gathered in order to honor his memory on the evening of July 26 in the Tagansky Park of the capital. The meeting-concert was attended by actors Svetlana Svetlichnaya, Vladimir Zolotukhin, Alexander Peskov, Alexander Tsurkan, Veniamin Smekhov. At the evening, Nikolai Dupak, who knew Vladimir Vysotsky, who was then director of the Taganka Theater, spoke with his memoirs. The concert was attended by the soloist of the group "Kukuruza" Irina Surina, who became a laureate of the competition for the best performance of Vysotsky's songs.
Central TV also organized an evening in memory of Vysotsky. A documentary film “Vysotsky. The Last Year”, in which people who knew him very closely talk about the poet: director Alexander Mitta, former director of the Taganka Theater Yuri Lyubimov, son Nikita Vysotsky, first wife Lyudmila Abramova and others. Channel "Russia 1" showed the film by Stanislav Govorukhin "The meeting place cannot be changed", where the actor played one of the main roles.
