A blessing is an informal permission given by a person who is authoritative for the applicant (father, mother, priest, teacher, etc.). For all its intangibility, it plays an important role for the applicant as support, directive, approval. As a rule, it is customary to ask and give a blessing in patriarchal religious communities.

Step 1
The blessing will not give you carte blanche, you will not be able to justify the means with the end. And do not think that with a blessing you will be lucky to miraculously remove all obstacles. You still have to work hard for the cause.
Step 2
Talk to the person you are going to ask for. Tell him about your business. Don't hide important details. Watch his reaction. He may not approve of your idea.
Step 3
If he nevertheless agrees with you, at the end of the speech say: "bless (those), father (mother, mentor or other treatment)."
Step 4
Accepted, while the mentor blesses you (baptizes), lower your head in respect. Sometimes the hands are folded, palms up, right to left, criss-cross. After that, kiss the hand that blessed you.
