Dmitry Viktorovich Zakharchenko gained notoriety as the head of a department of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. Allegations of corruption and abuse of power led to arrest and dismissal from the authorities.
Education
Dmitry was born in 1978 in the Rostov region. The family lived in the Voloshino settlement of the Millerovsky district, the parents worked as school teachers.
Studying was easy for the young man, so he graduated from school with a gold medal. Among the students, he again turned out to be the best, easily received a law degree from the Academy of Civil Service. He continued his education at Rostov University in two faculties at once - economics and history. The pinnacle of education was the defense of a dissertation on economics.
Career
In 2001, the graduate went to work in the tax police. Four years later, Dmitry moved to Moscow, where he continued to serve in the Department of Economic Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He oversaw the fight against crimes in the fuel and energy sector in the department. His career was very successful. Ten years later, he was promoted to colonel and headed the "T" department of the Main Directorate for Combating Economic Crimes.
Arrest
A high-ranking police officer was arrested in 2016. Zakharchenko presented charges of abuse of office and bribery. As a result of the investigation, it turned out that the officer and his family owned 13 apartments, cars, gold bars, exclusive watches, currency and 9 billion rubles. The result of the official check was the dismissal of Zakharchenko from the ranks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The proceedings have been going on for two years. In addition to the charges brought earlier, Dmitry Viktorovich's involvement in the theft of funds from PJSC Nota-Bank was proved. Zakharchenko kept the stolen money in his home safe. Several facts of receiving bribes and other violations of the law were proven. The circle of defendants in the case has significantly expanded, among them were members of the colonel's family.
The workers of the bodies were amazed by the "black bookkeeping" of the famous corrupt official. So, next to the amount of 600 thousand euros there is a note "trifle". During the investigation, colleagues said that Zakharchenko rarely appeared at work, behind his back they called him “Zakhar the Cunning”. All the property of the Zakharchenko family was transferred to the state revenue, but new assets continue to surface. Today his cars worth tens of millions of rubles are under the hammer. While the Investigative Committee continues its investigation, the accused is in custody. Dmitry himself denies most of the charges against him and calls them "lies."
Personal life
It is known that Dmitry was married in his youth. In 2008, he had a child, and in 2015 he became a father for the second time. The biography of the ex-wife is kept secret from the general public; in one of the interviews, the ex-husband named her last name - Saratovtseva.
After the divorce, Zakharchenko had several novels, but recently he appeared in the company of Anastasia Pestrikov, who became his common-law wife.
