The boy was born in the winter of 1985 in India. His family has never had anything to do with creativity, art and cinema. My father was a ship's doctor and served in the merchant marine. Mom is a teacher by education, she worked as a director of a secondary school. Malhotra has an older brother who later chose the profession of a bank clerk.
Since childhood, Siddhart was passionate about cinema and dreamed of becoming an actor. In the family, his desire was not welcomed. The parents thought that their son would become an engineer or choose a specialty that would allow him to make a career in business. But the boy was in a different mood.
Already in his school years, he participated in all productions, competitions and concerts. He was also fond of sports, taking part in tennis, basketball and rugby competitions. Study was given to Sidhart with great difficulty. Only thanks to his mother he was able to graduate from school.
When Sidhart was sixteen, he accidentally met in a cafe with a representative of a modeling agency. He invited the young man to try himself as a model. The family did not support their son and tried in every possible way to dissuade him from the proposal, dubious in their opinion. But Siddhart was convinced that he could achieve great success in show business.
The parents still managed to convince the young man to continue his education. He attended Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi, where he earned a BA in Sales. But immediately after that, he passed a casting in a modeling agency and signed a contract with them.
Later, when Siddhart already began to earn decent money in the modeling business, and then began acting in films, his parents completely resigned themselves to his choice. They even became proud of their son and his growing popularity.
Creative way
Siddhart worked as a model for about four years. He collaborated with famous designers M. Malhotra and R. Bal. Together with the agency, the young man went on a world tour. He presented fashion collections on the catwalks of Paris, Milan, New York, Singapore, Dubai.
Siddhart's photographs began to appear on the covers of fashion magazines. For some time he collaborated with the fashion house Roberto Cavalli.
At the 2007 Mr. Gujarat competition, Siddhart won. He was also awarded the People's Choice Award and was named "Mister Photogenic" by the judges.
After four years of modeling, Siddhart decides to leave the modeling business. He was no longer satisfied with the harsh conditions offered by the agencies. He dreamed of realizing his creative potential and acting talent, but in the modeling business this was impossible to do.
Having terminated the contract, Siddhart goes to television, where he tries himself as a host of music programs. In 2010 he became an assistant to the famous director K. Dzhokhara. Together with him he is working on the film "My name is Khan". Then Malhotra himself directed the film "We Are Family", which was produced by Johara.
Siddhart made his Bollywood debut in 2012. He starred in the film Student of the Year. The film received high marks from viewers and film critics, collecting a record box office.
