Alison was born in 1982 in Los Angeles. Her full surname is Bree Schermerhorn by her Jewish mother, but at the beginning of her career she only left her father's surname, although she grew up without him.

Soon she was accepted into the team, and she played the role of the dog Totoshka in the play "The Wizard of Oz". All her subsequent years were filled not only with her studies at school, but also with studies in the theater studio.
After graduation, Alison entered the California Institute of the Arts, and as part of an exchange of experience, she studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. After graduation, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theater.
