Hulia Avshar was born in the Turkish city of Edremit in 1963, Kurdish and Turkish blood flows in her veins. Since childhood, Hulia loved sports, especially swimming, and in her youth she thought that she could connect her fate with this sport. After school, the girl entered the Ankara State School, and then began to build a career as a professional swimmer.
Soon the Avshar family moved to Istanbul, where new prospects opened up for Hulia: she decided to participate in a national beauty contest. Probably, only one of her knows how many obstacles there were in the path of the provincial, but she overcame everything and won this competition.
True, the prize money was never paid to her: according to the terms of the competition, the participants must be unmarried, and Hulia was already married as a student at the school. She also did not receive the title of winner, but now the way to the cinema was open to her.

The viewers consider the most favorite films with the participation of Hulia to be In One Night in My Life, The Jewels of Ms. Salkim. "Our love story". Wherever the actress is filmed, each role turns out to be special for her. And a touching story is connected with one TV series: for her role in the TV series Blue, Blue, Hulia received a special name “Mavish” - by the color of her blue eyes.
Hulia Avshar is very much appreciated at home for her work, and in Russia she received an award at the Moscow Film Festival in 1993 for Best Actress in the film "Berlin in Berlin". This is so far her only authoritative award, but if we consider that the actress has many more roles and many pictures in her plans, then there is a good chance that the awards are yet to come.
One of the most significant roles of Hulia in recent years is the role of Safiye Sultan in the series that was shown on Russian television: "The Magnificent Century: The Kyosem Empire." The image of a strong woman is very suitable for this colorful actress.
This film in Avshar's portfolio is considered the best. Perhaps because her skills had perfected by the age of fifty, now she can embody the most complex images on the screen. During the filming of this film, Hulia had to go through many unpleasant moments. At one time, everyone around started talking that this was not her role: journalists, critics, and spectators. The director was at a loss because the contract had already been signed and the work was in full swing.
Then the actress Nebahat Chekhre came to the rescue, who played the role of Valide Sultan in the same tape. This actress enjoys great prestige in Turkey, and when she stood up for a colleague, the public accepted this opinion, and the shooting of the film continued without incident.
Despite such nuances, Hulia is a very confident person in life, she knows how to appreciate her talent and respects herself as a woman. As one of the proofs of this - the film "Selfie", filmed in 2018. She shot this picture herself as a director, was a screenwriter and producer here. And, of course, she played the main role in this film. Selfie tells the story of a girl who grew up on the outskirts of Istanbul and became an actress thanks to her dedication. This is the biography of Avshar herself, her life and career, depicted in the comedy genre. That is, she treats everything that happened in the life of the actress easily and simply from the height of her past years.
Because she has a lot of plans, a lot of things that she does in life, and there is no time to grieve over the past. Moreover, considering that work in the cinema for Hulia is not the only occupation. She starred in music videos, advertisements, runs Internet columns and TV shows, owns Hulya magazine and works as a journalist herself.
Also in Turkey, Avshar is known as a singer: she performs in musicals, releases solo albums. She has been singing since childhood, and in the eighties she began recording her albums - she already has nine discs. In 2000, the Kral TV channel recognized her as the best singer of the year.
Hülya has not forgotten about sports either: in her homeland she organized the Hülya Avsar Cup charity tennis tournament, where young athletes compete, showing their skills. This tournament helps them to believe in themselves and make a sports career. The actress herself plays tennis well, she participates in tournaments for amateurs, and has been the winner several times. She also writes articles on sports topics, and many fans listen to her opinion.
Personal life
The first time Hulya married at the age of 17 for the same student as herself. The youth and inexperience of the young couple led to the fact that two years later they decided to divorce. They just "fled" without even drawing up a divorce. It was this fact that prevented the girl from receiving the title of "Miss Turkey". In fact, she did not have a husband, but according to the documents she did.
After the divorce, Hulia was alone for a long time and finally, in 1997, she became the wife of businessman Kaya Chilingiroglu. Soon they had a daughter, Zehra. The couple lived together for 7 years, this marriage also broke up. But the actress is grateful for this connection - after all, if it were not for Kaya, she would not have such a daughter, with whom they are very friendly.
Later, journalists attributed Avshar a connection with the millionaire Sadettin Saran. They lived in a civil marriage for three years and parted peacefully, without making any claims to each other. As they wrote in the press, they became just friends.
