early years
Julia Sergeevna was born on February 2, 1985. Her hometown is Slantsy (Leningrad region). Mikhalchik graduated from the music school. The girl really liked animals, her mother thought that she would become a zoologist.
At the age of 10, Mikhalchik successfully performed at the Samantha festival, and she was accepted into the choir of Channel Five. The team has taken part in various competitions many times. In 1999, Yulia won the Voiced Voices festival, and then became the winner in many other competitions.
Mikhalchik graduated from school with honors. She began her studies at a liberal arts university, pursuing a major in PR. As a 1st year student, she hosted programs on the Youth Channel (TNT), collaborated with the Korone team (producer Sergey Kokai).
Creative activity negatively affected academic performance at the university, Julia was expelled for absences. Later Mikhalchik again began to study in this specialty, having entered the Russian University for the Humanities.

In 2003 Mikhalchik successfully performed at the Southern Nights festival, where she was noticed by Alexander Shulgin. He invited the girl to participate in the "Star Factory - 3" project. Julia accepted his offer.
On the project, Julia took 3rd place and became known throughout the country. In that period, the song "Bird" appeared, which became the hallmark of the singer. In 2004 Mikhalchik began working with the production center of Viktor Drobysh. Her composition "White Swan" became a hit.
The singer was invited to perform at a concert that took place in the Kremlin Palace. In the same period Mikhalchik was awarded the Golden Gramophone. In 2006 her album "If Winter Comes" appeared, many compositions were written by Julia.
Later, at the "Five Stars" event, Mikhalchik became the winner. Then the album "Spit" was released. The singer took part in the qualifying round for Eurovision-2008. Then Bilan Dima became the winner.
Julia recorded 2 songs for the TV series "Annushka", played in the rock opera "Perfumer". In 2011, her album of retro songs appeared, and later she sang 10 songs by Valentina Tolkunova, sounding in the film about the famous singer.
In 2015, Mikhalchik took part in the Tonight program dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Star Factory. She continues to appear at special events, concerts.

At the Star Factory, the singer had an affair with Alexander Shulgin, a famous composer. However, then the couple broke up. From that period, Julia decided to hide her personal life.
At one time, the singer had a relationship with Eugene Anegin, a singer. Then Vladimir Goev, a businessman, became Julia's husband.
In 2013, Mikhalchik had a child - a boy Alexander, and in 2016 the couple divorced without commenting on the reason for the separation.
