Yuri Kononov's craving for music is in his genes. After all, his great-great-grandfather worked as a bell ringer at the church. But Yuri's parents sang beautifully, his father even was a member of the VIA, played the guitar. The boy's mother worked in a folklore ensemble as a costume designer. The debut of the then young singer took place in kindergarten. And a serious step towards creativity was taken when the boy was resting in a pioneer camp. Then he participated in the competition and he really enjoyed performing on stage. Yuri Nikolaevich Kononov was born in the Krasnodar Territory, in the village of Otradnaya in 1978. And when he was 7 years old, the boy moved with his family to Armavir.
His parents sent him to a music school, which he successfully graduated from. The young man also studied singing in a specialized circle, was a participant in various competitions and shows.
Career
When the young man was 17 years old, he graduated from school, he was invited to the VIA at the meat-packing plant in the city of Armavir.
When Yuri Kononov turned 18, he went to Sochi, where the Kinotavr film festival was then held. The young man persuaded friends to go with him. And with a small amount of money in their pockets, the guys went to Sochi to see the stars. Then Yuri met the chief choreographer of the Pugacheva Theater. It was Yuri Polyakov.
Yuri Kononov was lucky, the choreographer invited him to work in the "Dance Theater" as a vocalist. So 3 years passed. During this time, the singer visited many countries of the world, for some time he worked with Muslim Magomayev.
Creation
In 2014, Yuri took part in the Voice 3 singing competition. But in the qualifying round he was in for a failure, the mentors did not turn around. Then a year later he went to "Russia 1" to take part in the vocal competition of this channel.
And before that, Yuri Kononov starred in "Song of the Year", participated in the "Slavianski Bazaar".
