American actress Laura Wiggins became a star of the movie screen thanks to the horror movie "Calls", and subsequently she rarely changed this genre, also giving preference to crime dramas and TV series. It is difficult to imagine looking at a smiling blonde who, at first glance, is completely defenseless.
However, as colleagues note, Laura's character does not hold, and on the set she shows samples of endurance and patience.
Biography
Laura Wiggins was born in the city with the beautiful name of Athens in 1988. But this is not Greece, but America - the state of Georgia. Her father is a lawyer with a long experience of work, her mother is engaged in housekeeping. Laura went to school and often thought about choosing a profession. She was attracted by two types of creativity: acting and television.
Television tends to be more accessible, and the girl once managed to do an MTV show called Next and loved the job. Moreover, the program was non-standard: extreme dates between unusual people took place in the show.
Film career
In 2006, Laura played her first role - she created the image of the schoolgirl Kimberly in the film "Not Like Everybody else." This is the image of a "black sheep" - a girl who differs from other peers and therefore often becomes the object of ridicule and bullying. This role turned out very well for Wiggins, and she began to be invited to other projects.
A year later, she starred in a topical film about HIV disease - here she got the role of Lindsey Carter, whose boyfriend fell ill with a terrible disease, and she helped him cope with this situation, and her love helped her in this. The next film was the thriller At the Last Moment - a fusion of science fiction and police drama - with the interesting role of Belinda
These works helped Wiggins gain the initial experience, get a feel for the shooting process and understand how and what to do to look believable and convincing. The aspiring actress coped with all the tasks that faced her at this stage of creativity. This was the first step to fame.
The real popularity came to her in 2011, when she was cast in the TV series "Shameless". The role of frivolous and at the same time depraved Karen Jackson turned out to be really brilliant for Laura. The plot of the series tells about a dysfunctional family, the main theme of the project is sexual relations, so Wiggins often had to appear naked.
By that time she had many offers to shoot, and in parallel with "Shameless" she starred in the films "A Day in the Life", "Cooper and Stone" and "Private Practice".
Later, Laura had many roles in different projects, but the best in her portfolio are the series Shameless, Chicago Police and The Seeker.
