Biography

Oleg Anatolyevich was born in Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk region in 1970. Soon the Kassin family moved to Moldova, to the small town of Balti, where he spent his childhood and where he studied in high school.

Shortly after leaving school, Oleg was drafted into military service, and he served in Belarus. The army gives him a lot of time to think, and Cassin wonders what he will do after the service. The most attractive profession for him since childhood was the profession of an actor, but so far he has not taken any specific steps in this direction. And then he decided that he would go to Moscow and enter a theater university.

And so it happened: Kassin entered the Shchukin Theater School and graduated from it in the late 90s. Such famous artists as Maksim Averin, Anton Makarsky and Olga Budina studied with him. The years in "Pike" were fruitful: young actors played a lot of performances, learned a lot. After graduation, Oleg entered the service at the Satyricon Theater under the direction of Konstantin Raikin.

In one interview, he said that these five years of work at Satyricon became something of a good school, where the actors were not allowed to relax and everyone played at their own limit. They played both contemporary plays and classics. Oleg had a chance to take part in the performances "Chauntecleer", "Threepenny Opera", and he also played Mercutio in the play "Romeo and Juliet".

In 2002, Kassin left the theater, not working well with Raikin. The fact is that, as a director, Raikin so scrupulously demanded that the actors perform the smallest details that there was no chance for their own creativity. That is, everyone played the way Raikin himself would have played, and not like the actor himself with his vision of the role and with his peculiarities of its perception. It's hard for an artist to be a mechanical performer, not a role-maker.

After the dismissal from "Satyricon" came a difficult period in the life of the actor, when there was almost no work. Then there was a difficult period for theaters in general - a period of stagnation during general perestroika. I had to earn money wherever I have to.

Finally, in 2005, he was invited to the Satire Theater, where he still works. His acting portfolio includes the performances Lefty, Too Married Taxi Driver and The Accidental Death of an Anarchist.

Film career

On the silver screen, Kassin made his debut in 1998 in the remarkable film "Composition for Victory Day." Here he was able to observe the work of the masters of domestic cinema: Vyacheslav Tikhonov, Mikhail Ulyanov, Oleg Efremov. Kassin had a small role as Chaban, and an interesting story is connected with it: Oleg played this role in the graduation performance, the film director Ursulyak saw him and decided to include this episode in the film. This also happens in the movies.

After that, his filmography was replenished with roles in the tapes "Simple Truths", "Turkish March", "Daddy's Daughters" and others. One of the iconic roles for Cassin is the Shaly gangster in the action movie "Elimination". It was after this that he got stuck in the role of a bandit - he played so believably.

The best films, where Kassin played, are considered the pictures "DMB" (2000), Composition for Victory Day "(1998)," Carmen "(2003).

Personal life

Oleg Kassin was married and is now divorced. He doesn't talk about who his wife was - he doesn't want to talk about personal.

He actively maintains accounts on social networks, where he publishes photos from rehearsals of performances.
