Biography
Although Irina Fetisova was born in Valladolid, far from cold Russia, the girl connected her sports career with domestic volleyball clubs.
Irina's father, the famous basketball player Andrei Fetisov, in 1994, when his daughter was born on September 7, played for the Spanish club "Forum". When the family returned to Russia, the talented girl started her sports career with training at the children's and youth school of the Olympic reserve in St. Petersburg. The school bore the big name "Spartak", and Nina Ivanovna Tkharkakhova became the head coach of the future champion.
When Irina Fetisova physically took shape as a real athlete, she was accepted into the Leningradka team. Since 2009, the girl has been playing for the St. Petersburg club at the Russian championship.
