Biography: early years

Rory Joseph MacDonald was born on July 22, 1989 in Quenel, British Columbia, Canada. As a child, he was a shy and insecure boy. According to Rory himself, he was terribly afraid of communicating with unfamiliar people. At school, MacDonald studied with great reluctance, but he idolized sports. With special ecstasy, he loved to play football.

As a teenager, Rory became interested in mixed martial arts. He spent a lot of time in training. His labors did not pass without leaving a trace. Soon he began to show good results for his age.

When Rory was 14 years old, he was coached by David Leah, who at the time was considered one of the most promising Canadian specialists in mixed martial arts. To do this, MacDonald moved to another city - Kelowna, where the Toshido Fighting Arts Academy training hall was located.

Two years later, Rory made her debut in the professional ring. He showed himself brilliantly in the Extreme Fighting Challenge competition. Then Rory defeated Terry Tiara with a choke hold. This victory inspired MacDonald, and he continued to work on himself in an enhanced mode.

Career

In the winter of 2006, Rory fought his compatriot Ken Tran as part of KOTC Canada: Anarchy. He emerged victorious with the same choke hold. At the same time, the enemy was 6 years older than Rory.
