Yuri Nikolaev is a legend of Soviet and Russian television. For a long time he was the permanent host of the television programs "Morning Mail", "Morning Star" and others, and also played in films and was engaged in production activities.
Biography
Yuri Nikolaev is of Russian-Moldovan origin. He was born in 1948 in Chisinau and was brought up in a military family. Parents often spoiled their son and fulfilled almost all his whims. It is not surprising that the boy grew up very creative and constantly saw himself in his later life as an athlete, then an artist, or a singer. However, he did well in school and excelled in mathematics.
Yuri's hobbies led him to the Chisinau television already at school age. He played a small role in the TV show, but that was enough to make the boy dream of an acting career. After school, he successfully entered the Moscow GITIS, where he studied at the workshop of Vsevolod Ostalsky. Having received his education, the young man got a job in the capital's Theater. Pushkin and worked there for more than five years. In 1973, Nikolaev was invited to television, where he decided to stay.
It is worth noting that during his student years, Yuri Nikolaev played in several films. These were the paintings "Big spans", "The girl from cell number 25", "Walking in agony" and others. It was his acting experience that helped Nikolaev gain a foothold on television, where since 1974 he became the host of the musical program "Morning Mail". Gradually he took up production activities and came up with his own program "Morning Mail", becoming not only the author, but also the presenter. This show opened the way for many Russian pop stars to the stage.
Yuri Nikolaev is one of the creators of the legendary "Guess the Melody" show, which was released in the 90s. Later, thanks to his talent for hosting music shows, he also became a protagonist on the projects "Junior Eurovision", "Dancing with the Stars" and "Dancing on Ice".
Personal life
Yuri Nikolaev met his future wife Galina as a student. They got married, but did not live together for long. After that, the TV presenter, without thinking, entered into a relationship with a girl named Eleanor. They had known each other since childhood, since she was the sister of a good friend of his. Years after that, young people accidentally collided on the street and, having talked, realized that this meeting had become fateful for them.
The couple played a modest wedding and have not parted since then. For the sake of preserving the marriage, Yuri Nikolaev always avoided alcohol and noisy meetings with friends. And yet the couple did not have their children. It is still unknown whether the reason for this is the high employment of Yuri and Eleanor or their health problems. The Nikolaevs live quite happily and take an active part in raising the daughter of Yuri's own sister.
