Basically, the older generation gives their preference to the second channel, since the programs aired on it are aimed at the older television audience. But here, as elsewhere, there are exceptions.

This TV show is one of the longest running on Russian television. "Good Night, Kids" has been airing since September 1, 1964. In 2014, the program will celebrate its 50th anniversary. "Good night, kids" is a project for preschool and primary school children. It is curious that at present the ratings of this program are practically not inferior to those of the early episodes. The main characters are Filya the dog, Stepashka the hare, Karkusha the crow and Mishutka the bear cub. "Sunday Evening" is an author's talk show. This TV project has the status of a socio-political TV show. Its host is the famous Russian journalist Vladimir Soloviev. The program touches on the most pressing political issues and discusses topical problems of modern Russia. The first airing took place in 2005. Then the TV project was aired on the NTV channel under the charismatic title "Towards the Barrier!", But already in 2008 the program was prematurely closed. It was possible to rehabilitate "Sunday Evening" only in September 2012 and already on the second channel. The main broadcasting time of the program is Sunday, but especially acute and urgent issues can be aired during the week.
TV channel Russia 1. "Live broadcast"
Live is a public talk show that airs on Channel 2 from Monday to Friday. It is believed that this television project is a direct analogue of Andrei Malakhov's talk show "Let They Talk", which is aired on Channel One. Topics for discussion on the "Live" can be any situation: current political problems, high-profile crimes, terrible car accidents and other events that cause a public outcry. The studio "Live" is attended by professional experts, as well as politicians, artists and singers. The host is Boris Korchevnikov, who replaced Mikhail Zelensky in this position.
