Novoseltsev began his path to big football with a team playing in the FNL. In 2011, the defender joined the ranks of Khimki near Moscow. In "Istra" Novoseltsev played 17 matches and for his work on the football field attracted the attention of breeders of the famous Moscow "Torpedo".
In 2012, Ivan signed a contract with the "torpedo", which was designed for three years. For three seasons at the club, the defender made a significant contribution to winning bronze medals in the FNL championship, which allowed the “black-and-white” team to break into the Premier League.

The famous sports year in Novoseltsev's career came at the time of his performance at FC Rostov. The defender signed a contract with this team in the 2015-2016 season.
